I HATE BLOGGING!

I HATE BLOGGING

OK-now that I got your attention. It is amazing to me that how many agents in my local area are not engaging in social networking online. I hear every excuse not to do it. It just amazes me that why would you not want to do social networking online. Many agents still do not have their own blog.

HERE ARE THE TOP 5 REASONS REALTORS DO NOT ENGAGE IN SOCIAL NETWORKING ONLINE

  1. LAZINESS
  2. DO NOT UNDERSTAND IT
  3. NO IMMEDIATE GRATIFICATION
  4. NOT CONSISTENT
  5. NO ORIGINAL CONTENT

These are the main reasons why many Realtors do not engage in social networking online. They do not know where to go to receive training. I see many more real estate brokerages and title agencies teaching courses on social networking. However, one must decide to just do it. Personally, I did not know everything there is to blogging. However, I made the decision to just do it. Now, I am an ActiveRain Ambassador. Currently, I am mastering Facebook. Next, I will be learning more about Linked-In. One cannot do it all at the same time. Yes, it can be overwhelming at times. However, I devote 90 minutes per day to social networking online. I am taking the long term approach. It will pay off down the road. Meanwhile, keep blogging!

Hi Larry

There are a number of reasons people don't blog, the reason they should, is blogging is a form of personal promotion and a marketing plan.

Good luck and success.

Many agents do not want to put the time in. They want instant gratification in my opinion.

GOOD MORNING HARRY!  I too have to work on understanding all the concepts of FB and Fan Pages, etc.  Realtor Magazine this month supports your post - it states that in order for social media to be effective - you have to devote "X" amount of time to it everyday - and make it be a part of your work day! Instead of looking at it as something you could or should or may want to do!  Enjoy your weekend! -- Gabrielle
