I'm sure we all remember where we were when 9/11 happened in 2001...but do you really remember where you were? Take today to be thankful for all of the little things we take for granted and be thankful that someone else was willing to give their life in order for you to do so. Take today to revisit those promises that we've all made to ourselves about being better people, parents, brothers, sisters, neighbors etc. Today gives us the opportunity to reflect on all of those things that we promised ourselves and have yet to do...because we lose sight of the forrest for the trees...Take today for what it is...a single day...a single day to start a new foundation to becoming a better you, a day you'll never get back so make the most of it in all that you do. I never thought I'd be where I am today 8 years ago today, but I'm thankful for what I have and who I've become. Today I'll hug my kids a little tighter, today I'll enjoy all the challenges, because today is the first day of the rest of my life
Brian, it is nice that you posted this, too many people have short term retention. Let is not forget all the lives that were lost and their families that were affected by this tragedy.
Brian, thanks for posting this. I remember well! We can never forget nor trivialize this attack. Let us never forget those that were lost, nor the ones that were left behind!
living in Manhattan on that day was quite an experience and one I will not so forget. Not just the tragedy of the attack but the bond of my fellow New Yorkers
I was sitting on a small boat fishing with my 90 year old father. His last visit to my area. It was a shocker that changed the world.

I remember exactly where I was, exactly what I was doing, and exactly how I felt all day that day. Thanks for the reminder and the great post Brian
