Why Tweet on Twitter?

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams South Tampa SL3178936

Why is "Tweeting" good for your real estate business?  Simple... that is where the people are!  All the young 20 and 30 somethings' who are first time home buyers hang out there.  As with all buyers, they want to know and trust you before they do business with you.

Twitter is a social networking site, not a place to sell or jam real estate down the throats of your followers, but a place to be yourself, let people get to know you. Sure, go ahead and throw in a bit about real estate here and there, but camouflage your business related info and have some fun!

Joining is easy and most importantly FREE!  Once you have your login, you are ready to send your first "tweet".  You can add your photo and personalize your profile to fit you.  Finding people on twitter is very simple, you can even use your other email accounts to find people.  You get to choose who you follow.  Twitter even has a search option at the bottom of the page, so you can search for posts with your similar interests.

Technology is ever-changing, just as your real estate business...  Take advantage of it today and build your business.  I am on Twitter and would love for you to follow me, my user name is micheleherndon.

I have zero luck with twitter in even getting a response form a buyer. Many roll over to my blog but no inquires. I have given it up after 90 days of diligence.

It's all part of the marketing mix...the new one and ever changing. Joining any of them and then wondering right now landslide of business, or mass phone calls, emails or visits is short sighted. You need to do more than join and tweet in a way to develop a following, to get attention above the million of other ducks doing the same thing. You get out what you put in for effort, creativity.

Thanks for sharing your blurp on twitter. I agree, I haven't had many results on twitter but I'm not ready to write it off just yet.

I agree that twitter has not been a valuable tool for me either.  I have had better luck with Facebook.  I recently did a survey on Twitter and what people thought and the results were the same....a waste of time.  Nobody cared what I was doing at every moment of the day!  However I am with some of you and just not ready to write it off yet....just in case!

Twitter has been super-helpful for me with regarding to recruiting.  I found two of my best agents there!  It works if you use it consistently.  It took me about 9 months to "get it", then it started bringing lots of contacts and opportunities.
