New Hampshire Wine and Brew Festival Benefit

Mel's Fun Park in Litchfield, New Hampshire will be the venue for the First Wicked Wine and Brew Fest. 454 Charles Bancroft Hwy (Route 3A) Litchfield

The wine and brew festival will take place on Saturday, September 12th from 2-7 p.m.

Cost - $20; $5 for designated drivers and under 21, children under 5 years old are free

New England wineries and breweries will be featuring their best wines and beers. You can sample wines and beers from all over New England!

Shipyard Brewing co. will be serving its popular autumn beer .. Pumpkinhead Ale!

Local musicians, artisans, and vendors will also be on hand to celebrate!

Music will be provided by Rise (a bluegrass band from Keene and Tore Down House (a rock and blues band from Manchester.

Guests are expected from all over New Hampshire as well as Massachusetts.

The first 1000 sampling adults (non-designated drivers) who buy tickets are supposed to receive a free tasting glass.

This event benefits the Hillsborough County Meals on Wheels

Joan: Uh oh. Another wine fest. Sheesh... I just miss out on ALL the good stuff being stuck down here in Texas. Darn ! Hey, my dear... have one for me. :)

Joan, It sounds like a great event for a wonderful cause. It's nice of you to spotlight it and I'm sure it will benefit the Meals on Wheels.

Joan ~ that sounds like a lot of fun. I'm gasing up the car as we speak and I'm on my way!

Karen Anne -- This should be a lot of fun. I am going to try to stop by... although I have a crazy schedule today. I guess I'll have to stick to the cider! I'll pick up some wine for dinner tonight and have a glass for you!

Carole ~ The meal on wheels is a wonderful program and it so important to those that cannot drive! I think this event is going to be very popular and will be the first of many wine and beer festivals.

Janice ~ Would love to treat you to some wine tasting and fall treats. Hope you can make it! Although it is overcast, they will have tents... so the event will go on rain or shine.

Forget about coming down here to go shopping. ; ) I'm taking a road trip up north! This sounds like fun!

Joan - I'll bet the conditions are excellent for growing grapes in New Hampshire. You must have some very good wines. If I lived a little closer, I'd be there. Sounds like a wonderful event.

Joan, How fun is that and how cool that they have a special price for designated drivers. Our son has a steady girl friend now but when he use to go out with the guys they would always appoint a designated driver. I thought that was very cool.

Marchel and Gail - I have an email stating that both of you have commenting on the post, but the comments don't seem to be here??? Does that mean you are both at the wine and brew fest???? Very strange.... Thanks for commenting... we'll see if the comments show up.

And there they are! very strange indeed.

Gail - after living in California I was under the assumption illusion that the best American wines were from California... now I have learned that New Hampshire has some awesome wines... It is amazing given the cold climate.

Marchel~ This was the first time I had seen a discount for designated drivers... what a great idea... I hope this catches on! I guess the trick is how to verify who is designated.. perhaps they get a special stamp so they can't purchase/taste any alcohol.

Toula -- OK -- we are set. I enjoy tasting a little wine.... no and again! I was hoping to stop by and sample some cider... had an offer to present, and wasn't able to stop by. I hope the weather didn't keep people away.

Judi ~ I don't recall wine making in Oklahoma... but then when I was a kid - Oklahoma was a dry state for many years!
