Make SURE, you let the nurse or pharmacist (yes, now some are certified to give the shots as well) know if you are allergic to preservatives or LATEX!

This is not a warning for the swine virus vaccine which is not yet available, but for the seasonal flu vaccine. They have two different vaccines available.

Make sure you read the disclosures carefully and let the nurse or the pharmicist know if you have allergies.

Think about getting a flu shot. I got one two weeks ago with no symptoms.

Young children, people with compromised immune systems, people with a history of cancer, and the elderly should think about getting flu shots...this is supposed to be a rough season. Be safe, not sorry.

You have to love Walgreens.. and the convenient flu shots..beats trying to get a doctors appts.

I'm headed that way this week. I need to be healthy this winter. don't need to be down for too long.

Yes, you do Konnie. I have to tell you, they were the most professional, caring people at my local Walgreens. The pharmacist showed me how to enter my information into the computer and the nurse practitioner was great as well. You can make appointments or just walk in. I have to say, I was impressed.

The important thing is...make sure if you have allergies to latex or any preservatives, that you tell them...it's on the questionaire.

I got mine about two weeks ago an a Sunday afternoon ( late in the day )...no symptoms. I have to wonder if last year when I felt bad after if there wasn't some latex in the mix...I'm extremely allergic to latex after 25 years in medicine. This year I had the "preservative free" shot..the first to request it and I had no symptoms.

FUNNY! There was just the first ad that I have seen about the flu shots on TV at Walgreens!
