Donna,

This is a great photo, is it your kitty?

Thank you for sharing and have a wonderful Sunday

HI Sharon:  Pumpkin is mine and he's really a very gentle and loving cat.  He is actually yawning here but since he's really a kitty in a tiger's disguise, it struck me that he was roaring!  I actually acquired him through a sale earlier this year when the seller could not keep the cat after he moved.  Thanks for asking.

Hi Donna ~ I love the name Pumpkin for a cat - he's a handsome devil.  I always tell my Champ that he's roaring when he yawns - I call him a tiger - as an indoor cat who used to have the run of the neighborhood I figure I need to pump up his ego.

Donna, That is so cute, it does look like a roar instead of a yawn :)

Elizabeth:  This cat is just so loving.  I couldn't believe I was able to snap the picture just in the nick of time!  I would love to see a pic of Champ.

Carole:  Dogs are really my first love but I have had a few cats in my time.  I was immediately drawn to Pumpkin and vice versa the first time I saw him.  He's been a great addition to my two cocker spaniels but what a zoo!

Donna,

Wow! You would never know he is friendly by looking at this photo! Makes me want to run! LOL!

Judy: I know, it really makes him look like the tiger he thinks he is.  That's why I just had to include in my comments that he is truly a sweetheart and that he was actually yawning.  I thought it was so cool to catch him in this yawn because it really does look like he's quite the meanie!  Maybe I should have entitled this post "Looks can be deceiving".  LOL

Hello Donna,
That is a great photo--his roar is much worse than the bite, huh?

Hi   Cynthia: His claws are the worst! LOL  He's actually a very laid back kinda' cat!  I know where the term "cool cat" comes from now.

Donna,

It was so kind of you to give him a home and I am sure he shows his appreciation every day :)

Nice to hear that you stepped in for Pumpkin. It looks like he really appreciates having a comfortable place outdoors for a good cat nap.

Hi, Donna!  You could have invited us to suggest a caption for the picture.  He's cute and looks healthy.

John: His comfy place is inside but he loves being outside.

Yolanda: Hi there!  He's a doll and very healthy, I'm just not sure of his age.  I'm always open to suggestions for a better caption if you want to include one.  Good to see you again.

Donna, Great photo.  You captured it at just the right fraction of a second.  I have been trying to get a photo of my cat, Yazmine, as she yawns for over a year.  The timing has to be perfect -- I haven't made it yet but will keep trying.  Thanks for sharing such a cute photo.

Gary:  You are so right, I only had a split second and my digital has a delay as it is so it just came together perfectly.  I really didn't even know what kind of shot I had until I went back to review the different frames.  I got lucky on this one.  Hope you get that photo of Yazmine soon.  Your perseverance is bound to pay off.
