The Difference Between Interest and Commitment

"There's a difference between

interest and commitment.

When you're interested on

doing something,

you do it only who the circumstances permit.

When you're committed to something,

you accept no excuses,

only results."

Art Turock

As I see it. . . . . . . .

The difference between interest and commitment.

The differences between interest and commitment is like the  difference between night and day, you can be in the dark or have the light to show you the way

A person with interest will bend in the wind not being prepared to make a commitment or move forward. They will let their circumstances control what they do and they will only do what's comfortable or convenient.

When your commitment there is a driving force in your heart to get it done, you're work though your challenges and keep you eye on the prize.

You will accept no excuses only results, there is a passion to achieve your desired outcome and you will keep your focus on the results until they achieved.

Be a person of commitment.

Important to know the difference and to know that we can't be commited to all things and that is okay

How true.  As my mom used to say about breakfast...the chicken was interested, the pig was committed!

That is so true.  My interested items go on a list.  The items I'm committed to go on my planner.

Lou:

Those are words to live by.  I also like "priorities,"  We always have time to do the things we have made priorities in life.

Lou,

There are many applications for that quote in the real estate industry.

Lou, all I can think of, while reading this, is that old adage about a ham and egg breakfast - The chicken is involved, the pig is committed.

Lou - Thanks for the motivation today. I needed that as well.... A little sluggish today after a long weekend of work...

What a great post!  So fitting for real estate.  Too many people are "interested" in getting into the business, but not enough of them are "committed"!

Sincerely,

Kathleen

Hi Lou, I like this one...when you're committed to doing something, you accept no excuses in getting it done.

Lou, This is a good lesson to teach children. When you commit yourself to something that interests you, waste no time and get it done!

So true.  This is definitely something I have to work on myself.  Sometimes I have lots of good intentions but that is where it stops.  So I guess my good intentions is the equivalent of interest without commitment.
