Not sure exactly how this all works, so I'm flying by the seat of my pants.  Trying to learn everything I can as quickly as possible.  This is my first Blog ever!  Can you believe it?  I can't.  I have joined groups that sound intriguing and read the comments made.  I have invited other colleagues of mine to join because I think this forum is awesome.  Just learned about it and had to get involved.

I would like to thank everyone that has been so nice to me already.  I appreciate the support and I am honored to be a fellow ActiveRain member.  Enjoy your day everyone!

Darbi, Welcome! There are some great people here that love to play in the rain. Make sure to interact with them (we love interaction!) and make use of your tag cloud, it's the same idea as keywords. Never ever be afraid to ask a question or for advice, we love to help out when we can!

Lysa - Thank you so much for the welcome.  I am wondering....what is a "tag cloud?"  How do I create one?  I am so addicted to AR now that I cannot wait to get to a computer and sign on.  I think I'm turning into an AR geek...if there is such a thing.  I talk about it all the time to my friends and they think I am nuts.  I have invited a bunch of them to join, but they have not yet.

Jay - Where in Minnesota are you from?  I live in Lino Lakes and primarily work in the Anoka County area.  Great weather we have had the last 2 days wouldn't you say.

Darbi, your off to a great start! Here is my post on tag clouds ~ Is Your Tag Cloud Making It Rain Enough For You?  It will help people, consumers and others here on the network find your posts on line. You want to put the key words from your post in your tag cloud, things that you think people will use when searching on a subject you have written about. Any more questions feel free to ask!

Jim,

Hi.  You look familiar.  Did we meet possibly at the Remax convention in Orlando a couple of years back?  How do I set you up as an affiliate?  Still learning.....

Darbi,

Congrats on your first blog ever! It seems like you are on the right track - and hey! 24 comments (25 if you count mine) - not a bad start for a first post!

My advice to you is, set a goal and try to stick (as closely as possible) to it. Obviously there will be days that you can't post - or even have time to read or comment. To keep it from feeling overwhelming, I would try say, a post every other day and 5 comments a day. It gets you online and reading - it gets you in the groove! Maybe also set a time limit for yourself...or you may find yourself staring at the screen cross-eyed at 3 AM trying to read it all! There's so much to read and so much to learn! I'm sure everyone has an opinion about this, and this is just mine! =)

Good luck blogging!
