Schaumburg Aviation Celebration

These are the pictures for the 2009 event held on August 29th and 30th at the Schaumburg Regional Airport. A good time was had by all and there were lots of rides given to those who wanted to visit the great blue yonder by the Windy City Flyers.

In case you didn't know, all the news helicopters for all the large Chicago TV stations are based at the Schaumburg Airport. They were out for all to see and visit.

Looks like a great day was had by all!

Awesome picture Lyn, looks like the day was a success!

Really nice for the kids(big ones too) if they are into flying, airplanes, etc. Puts the spark in some kids heart to learn how to fly. I personally love the helicopters.

Lyn...I love the air shows. A look back in history and what some of our brave men and women endured fighting for our country. Puts thngs in perspective.

Bill: It really is fun to go see the old planes and the people that restore them. It's a great piece of history for young and old alike. The 2nd group, middle photo, navy blue plane, is an actual restored American Airlines plane. That's what we call a puddle jumper right now but in the old days, that was high class stuff.
