For the past three months,I haven't been my normal Active Rain blogger. While I have been blogging here on Active Rain,my activity here on Active Rain has decreased by probably 50% maybe even more. Not only do I sometimes go a day without blogging or making a comment on somebody's blog but sometimes I can go DAYS without writing anything or making a comment. I have only written like 27 blogs in the past three months compared to 29 blogs that I wrote in January 2009 alone which is not a lot compared to what some people here who write like 40 or more blogs in a month. Who do you do it? What is your secret?

Honestly speaking "Lately I just haven't been inspired because my soul is tired"-It's true. Sometimes I am just not in the mood to write. Honestly speaking sometimes I just don't see anything for me to read and make a comment on. It's the same ol',same ol'-BLAH! BLAH! BLAH!. I have read or heard that already. Plus I haven't been generating the type of results that I hope to get from my blogging here on Active Rain lately. But I shouldn't be uninspired to blog. Being uninspired to blog is like Bill Gates giving you thousands of dollars and you turn it down because you tell him that you are too tired to accept it. What? Are you kidding me? How can you be too tired to accept free money? I hope you are trying to see what I am trying to say here.

We all know about the ActiveRain Success Stories that the professionals have had using this great site. And I noticed also that there are some things that I need to do on my part as well. One thing I need to do is re-read and do what Active Brad stated in this blog How to Create a Blog Post for Customers and Search Engines. I also need to know How To Setup and Maximize Hit Router for Generating Leads. I know.. I know. I should've done this already. But I have been seeing mixed results here which is why I haven't jumped onboard yet. That I think I am ready to jump in the pool now-You what I mean? And I need to start to add more pictures to my blog posts Easily Add Photos To Your Blog Posts. I also need to know how to Meta Tags my blogs.

So with less than three and a half month left before this year is out,I hope to hopefully start blogging again and possibly write some new blogs that I have either always wanted to write or though that I will never write. Besides if you can't think of a blog to write, there are always blogs here that you can use as muse written by the brilliant minds Real Estate has to offer here on Active Rain. I need to write things I haven't written before. Even if I don't think it makes sense or I shouldn't write it,I am going to write it anyway. Why? You never know who will find you or what connection you will make with somebody here reading one of your blogs. So if you haven't been blogging in a while or have just abandoned blogging all together-Please don't. Blogging works. If you do it right. And if you have more ideas or tips on what I should do to generate better traffic for my blogs, please share them with me.

I think sometimes you need a break.  Good luck getting re-inspired.

Lanre, sometimes I have trouble finding posts that I'd like to comment on as well.  Then there are some days when I can't put AR away.  I am just starting,, and so far haven't seen the tremendous results that other agents are talking about, but then again I'm not sure I'm doing everything necessary to get those results either.  I'm with you...I'm on a mission to really focus on the things I need to focus on to get through the winter.  Let's use the buddy system.  I'll subscribe to your blog and if I don't see you on here as much as we think we should be....I'll send a wake-up call!  :)  I wish you much success!

Hi there.  Now, first of all i am NOT, nor ever will be in the top percentile of bloggers here at Active Rain.... so maybe i am not the one who should be giving you advice....but I AM TRUE TO MYSELF.... and that is what YOU must do.  One thing about entering into the rat race is to remember... the rat never won... he just ran!  Let your persona come out naturally - don't be a clone, and don't let pressure to follow what you must do to get leads cause you to lose who "Lanre" is about.  Your fans will generate because of YOU.  You have an audience... leads will follow.

It works for me to be in and out, for my business calls for my attention elsewhere also.  Let it come naturally Lanre.  Be encouraged!

Lanre, I know exactly how you feel.  I've been pushing myself to blog in hopes that it will improve my blah, blah, blah, blah feeling.  I've started blogging about places I go for lunch, local businesses, places where people might go for fun.  I hope you get out of your dohldrums soon!!  I miss your posts.

Lanre Welcome back, the advice I would give is to be yourself.  It is amazing how a picture or a post you wrote that might have not seem like much, touches someone else.  It has happened to me and will to you.

Lanre - I hope to read more from you in the near future.  I understand the burnout.  I've never been a prolific writer, but I've recently vowed to spend 1-2 hours per day reading, commenting, and writing (hopefully).  I'm at 45 consecutive days.  I'll keep it up for now, although I think a few days off might clear my mind.  In case you missed it, Bob Stewart hosted a few challenges.  The first was writing neighborhood reports, the second interacting with local businesses, and the third was a series.  Check them out.  I've gotten a lot of good ideas from reading through these; especially the third installment.

Hello Lanre, your blogging "voice" sounds very good over here at the other Washington!  Blog on!  John

Lanre,  As an AR newbie, your comments are just what I need.  It appears that a few AR bloggers have no problem whipping out several pages of worthy prose.  I labor over a paragraph, fretting over the worthiness of my blog or comments.  I think I'll just do it!
