Tracy Santrock called me out.  She took it upon herself to MEME me, so once again I'm exposed....

1) I'm Directionless-  I mean this literally.  I was driving home from work this evening and the road I typically take was blocked/cut off.  I hear all the time, "You can't miss it!"  My retort, " I can't find it!"  I read somewhere that Einstein would get lost walking home.  I don't have much in common with his genius, but I can identify with that.  So, I have that going for me...

2)  Over 3 years ago, I lived in an Attic. There was no heat in the cold, no wind in the warm.  I vividly recall one evening when I awoke and saw a shadow of a winged creature hovering above me.  I pulled the string attached to the light-bulb and my open eyes saw a Bat flying in my general direction.  Doing my best Rocky Balboa impression, I was throwing down with the shadows.  I never hit the bat, but I've slept with a pillow between my legs and the covers over my face ever since.

3)  I've Wined & Dined With Kings & Queens, Slept In Alleys Eating Pork & Beans -  I've lived that way (see above) and I've done business that way every step I took.  I've had clients who make 30K a year to some that make in excess of 500K a year.  I treat them all the same, it's not hard to do that....cause they're human.

4)  I went to the Wild Samoan School of Professional Wrestling -  I learned a few things.  Number One, the sleeper hold, if properly applied, turns your lights out in a heartbeat.  Number Two, Samoans have HUGE Craniums.  Number Three, I can/could cut the mustard, but there is no way in God's Green Earth that I will put my body on the line when my heart no longer is in the game.  I don't have many regrets, that is one of them though.

5)  My Core Philosophies:

    -  I believe in two things: There is a God & I'm Not It.

    -  If you don't believe in a Higher Power, I cite Mother 'Freaking' Nature!

    -  Pain is weakness leaving the body.

    -  Live as if you were to die tomorrow, Learn as if you were to Live Forever.

That's me folks, in a nutshell at least.  In retrospect, I'm either the craziest smart guy I've ever met or the smartest crazy guy.   I'm not sure which.  In reality, I have shoulders and a head above them.  I try to live life like that.

And to Tracy Santrock, Thank You!  This Meme stuff is somewhat cleansing...

Yesterday, I wondered why I had your blog "subscribed".  Now I remember.  You're a bloody philosopher.  What a treat to read.  Thanks.  Lenn

Hi, Jason!  You had me laughing out loud picturing you boxing a bat!!  :oD

My husband would be so jealous of your #4.  He seems to think he'd be awesome at that kind of thing.  I prefer to sit on the couch with him and watch a little UFC or Pride, and watch other people's husbands get beat up.

Love your Core Philosophies!  (I might joke, "A man who doesn't think he's God!" but I don't want to go there.  Pretend I didn't.)

Great Meme!

Wow! Excellent meme and life Jason. I loved this:

Pain is weakness leaving the body.

So true my friend.

Also, FYI one of the Wild Samoans has lived in Poinciana for years. Great guy.

Sally - I will see you around!

Beth - It is an interesting visual indeed.  I still get ribbed about that one at work.

Lynda -  Why thank you very much!

Rich - Jury's still out I suppose.  My father asked me the same thing.  I'll tell you what I told him, "Hakuna Matata!"

Nalliah - Thanks for stopping by.

Lenn - "Bloody Philospher" Nice.  Thanks Lenn:-)

Sarah - Thank You.  Sounds like your husband and I would have crazy fun.  I'm a big UFC fan as well.  And yes, this man knows he ain't God....it sucks, but it's true.

Bryant - I believe that would be Sika, if I'm not mistaken who lives in Poinciana. One of my best friends since the age of 5 swears that the phrase "Pain Is Weakness Leaving The Body" is one I came up with in college and he has the little notepad I used to write in with it in there to this day.  I swear I got it someplace else, either way...Love The Phrase.

Hey Danny,

Yeah, I can understand that.  I had a few things going for me: high threshold of pain, very agile, ability to write shall I say interesting interviews.  I had a few things not going for as well like: Overall Size, I don't have the 'Look' per se, I don't look to appetizing in speedos, & my idea for ring music was The Stroke by Billy Squire and I was kind of looked at as a moron:-)

Jason...

Wow. What an interesting Meme. I enjoyed getting to know you better.

And thanks for reminding me who said...

"Pain is weakness leaving the body"...

I saw that laying around the rain somewhere. I actually jotted that down but could not remember who posted it in a comment.

That phrase is "Absolute Truth". If you don't believe ask "Upper Management"=God :)

Hi Jason! I'm new to your blog, I've seen your comments around the Rain and we've agreed on a few things, good things! I'm glad I stopped by!

Samoan Wrestling huh? Pretty cool stuff! I met Jimmy Super Fly Snuka back in the 80s, pretty nice guy! (And the Von Eriks) I had a nephew by marriage who was breaking into pro wrestling (I am now divorced) His name is Cliff Compton, can't remember his "Stage Name" now tho.. When we first met, he was so excited I knew all the 80s wrestlers and that finally someone in the family knew what he was talking about! (he was still in wrestling school).

Didn't your wrestling training teach you how to beat a bat?? How funny!

Hey Lysa -  Number one, thank you!

The "bat" was post my Rasslin Days.  I must say that little winged guy was stiffer competition than anyone I ever met in the ring.

Jason you had my laughing out loud!  This was a great read, and I can unfortunately relate the "Directionless" statmement.  My defense usually goes something like this " I live in Atlanta for goodness sake and our signs and streets are terrible"!  I have come to the sad conclusion that its not the roads completely its ummmmmmm "ME"!  So a GPS is an inevitable purchase in the coming weeks :-)

Hey Jason.  Great post.  I was a wrestler - olympic style though. Greco Roman and Freestyle.  Not Hulk Hogan style jumping off the top rope stuff althoguh I did get to meet him a couple times when I lived in Tampa.  The line "Pain is weakness leaving the body" is a line that I have heard many, many times through the years playing football and wreslting.  Another one you might like to use is "Pain is temporary, Pride is Forever".  Used to have a shirt for my wreslting team that had that on it and always loved that quote too!

Hey Billy B, Olympic style, so you would probably know Mr. Kurt Angle, graduated 6 years ahead of me at Clarion University.  I never even wrestled scholastically in high school, it always interfered with B-Ball season, if I had to do it different, would of wrestled, enough said.  Took Combat Karate & Judo in College and by the way, I've never seen Hogan jump off the top rope.  I've seen more agility out of R2D2 in "Return of The Jedi."  Love both of those quotes by the way...

Jason - Your first core principle was my favorite line in Rudy...just saw it this weekend. God I love that line. Boy, wrestling Samoans could be dangerous...played football with them in college. They are great to hang around with though.

Hey Tony - Wow, I wondered where I'd seen that line before.  Rudy is a fantastic flick, one of my all-time favorites!

It was kind of dangerous wrestling Samoans, but I had a lot of fun as well.

Jason.....  how did I miss this one?  Maybe I was doing an application... lol

In any case, thanks for sharing this. It can sometimes be hard to put information out there about yourself, because you aren't sure how people might judge you. In regards to number 4.... maybe you could teach me one of those sleeper moves.

Overall, again... thanks for sharing this.

Jeff- LOL, I hope you were doing an application.  That is our job and as far as #4, I'll teach you as I'd teach anybody.  I just need you to fill out a ten page application  & "Unsanctioned Affidavit" yourself so I don't get sued for anything:-)))))
