Blogging to Win? I Won Can You Believe It?

Well - last minute at 4:00 pm I sat at my computer and noticed as usual I left many browser windows open to eventually get back to and catch up! One being the contest announced by REBlogWorld and RETomato to write a post on Why You Should Win A Day Pass to REBlogWorld 2009 in Las Vegas!

It was two hours from the deadline and I considered putting something together but hadn't come up with a plan yet! I wanted something fast and we all know I do nothing fast when it comes to stewing up some creativity! What to do? What can be clever? These people don't know who I am, not like my AR friends! How can I get my post noticed, well that's a no brainer to me, 'GRAPHICS'...it always works, but what?

My thoughts took me directly to Jr High when we ran for the school elections such as class presidents and secretaries..and all the goofy posters and taglines! It hit me just then, those forever repeated 'Candy Bar' posters with charm and personality! Why not, being I go by my nickname still with friends and family of 'Candi' it made sense!

I'm off and running and find all the clever candy bar's I can muster up that I can weave into my plea of why I want to win! The clock is ticking, the pressure is on and we all know I can't write worth a darn!! It's those graphics I have to win you all over with every time, to bring you back! Ha ha...

So with a time of less than an hour I pump out a plea to pick me for your winner!

Who would have thought I would slap something together and win a seat at the REBlogWorld.com event come October 15-17, 2009 in Las Vegas! I freakin' won, can you believe it! Here is my entry that won me a spot at REBlogWorld. Wow - so I booked my hotel this morning within walking distance to the Las Vegas Convention Center and prepared to enjoy the drive to Vegas for four days next month!

Is there any others here in the Rain going to be there and can we put some time together to meet up?

Let's see how many ActiveRainers are attending and find a fun spot to meet up and have fun!

I can't wait 'til you see my car for the weekend, OHHH ... do I have plans for that too! It's a two-seater with a rag top and looking forward to dressing up the little thing for the weekend!
