Marketing: Less is NOT more

Services for Real Estate Pros with StoneHome Photo & Video

I am proud to say that I am not the cheapest real estate photographer and videographer in Toronto.

Absurd claim, right? Maybe not!

I've learned through experience and market research that continually lowering prices results in continually lowered quality.

And, without a doubt, that’s what realtors should expect from some of the cheaper photographers out there.

Yes, amateur photographers may offer photo services that are cheaper than mine. But guess what? You'll be disappointed. I would almost guarantee it. There are many amateurs who are willing to work for next to nothing. Why? Because no one is willing to pay them for work that, well, is not worth paying for. It's really simple, isn't it?

So what am saying here?

When you pay less, you should expect less--this, I think, is a golden rule that applies to most services and products!

So, would you rather pay $50 more to a service provider that will guarentee you professional photos or would you rather save that $50 and hire an amateur that will provide amateur work? I respect you folks and, as such, I don’t think you would do this to yourself. And that’s why I charge fair prices--fair to us and fair to you--that are guaranteed to impress.

I appreciate your view. If I want an amateur, I could do it myself. Why waste the money at all.

If you want a professional job done, then you have to pay a professional fee.

Shortcuts might work for one deal. But, if you want to establish a good relationship, then it must be undertaken on a proper business-like basis.

Brian: Well, if you want an amateur, you could always hire one. I mean, in the end, it takes a lot of time and time is, well, you know: traveling all the way out to the property, shooting the photos, then traveling back home/office, uploading, editing, creating slideshows, posting to the net and MLS. A general shoot, with travel and upload, etc, can take several if not more hours from your day.

Even if you are a pro photographer, there are benefits to hiring someone to help you out.

You free up your time to do your business.

I can help save you time--time that you should use to build your business. Peter at Stone Home Photo & Video: (416) 488-3295 or
