Thare remains many fine Outer Banks Homes for Sale. The question is how many have your price, location and features? Many prospective buyers believe the numbers of available homes are so high that there is no rush to buy now. But ... while the number of Outer Banks homes for sale are high, the numbers greatly diminish when you begin to remove those not offering your price range, location and features. That certainly changes the picture.
Here's an example for you: Let's say you would like a home on the ocean side of Duck, 4 bedrooms with an ocean view. Sounds good. You would like to purchase under $500,000.
Right now there are over 1200 homes for sale between Corolla and Nags Head. Ok so far.
But we want Duck which has about 136 homes available. Still a huge selection.
Well, Duck ocean side has 116 of those, but wait,
We want 4 bedrooms with an ocean view under $500,000.
We have a choice of 6 ... six.
The market is telling us that we are on the bottom and ready to put this lesson behind us. Sales have picked up slightly. If you are considering an Outer Banks home for sale, I would say to begin the process now. Though prices for Outer Banks real estate are not expected to increase quickly and interest rates are VERY low, why not begin at the best possible point in this economy for buying real estate. Buy when most others aren't. Begin before the sales increase and demand pushes the prices higher. It will happen ... again.
