"Memories At Activerain" Include My Appearance On TV in Athens Greece

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Executives

In October of 2008 I was contacted by a producer with Skai TV in Athens, Greece. They were planning a show named "The Crisis From A To Z" regarding our financial and real estate problems.

Since Prince William County, Virginia has figured prominently in the news regarding foreclosures they were seeking a "seasoned" real estate person to tour eastern Prince William County with them. They found my Activerain posts and told me I was "their girl" - their "American" was excellent.

The show started on Wall Street and works its' way to Prince William County and beyond. My segment comes on about 4 1/2 minutes into the program which is conducted in both Greek and English - my interview was in English :)

When the real estate market is tough television producers seek out agents with years of experience in the business as they realize these are the people who have experienced it all.

This was not my first major TV interview. Those of you who have been licensed for the last 20 years or more will recall the downturn of 1990 - 1992. I was interviewed on Ted Koppel's "Nightline " on ABC. They sought me out for the same reason - "tons of experience" in strong and weak markets.

Two TV interviews!! Sounds like fun!! :)  My real estate career started in Jan. of 2008. Many said that it was a horrible time to get in the business. I figure, if I can do all right now, I will do just fine when the market is "up" again. :)

What a great memory Karen!  I wanted to watch your video but not sure where to find it - it was all Greek to me!!!  I could always ask my Aunt Matena to translate the selections next time I see her..  being Greek does have some advantages!!!  Karen you make a wonderful Ambassador and American!  Here's to your continued success online, and off!

Karen - You are obviously an expert.  The only thing that would make this story better is if you tell me you got to visit Athens, Greece for the interview!

Karen I am aware your reports on Woodbridge are an integral part of your market strategy to be current on many facts throughout Prince William County. The obvious goal is to provide your clients with the very best possible representation and blog posting is an excellent method and may include posts about other interesting locations in our area
