Mary ~ Great tips to help save $$$ on your water bill! We just added a "blanket" to our hot water heater! I think "blanket" is the right word for insulating our water heater.

Good tips. I've used some of these myself. Every little "drip" hurts.

Guilty as charge, I do have a tendency to leave the water running when brushing my teeth....when you think about it....why?

Al & Peggy--I am trying to think of whether I run the water or not while brushing my teeth.  h-m-m?

Robert--Good phrase--'every little "drip" hurts.  Thanks.

Judi--Good idea.  I will look for that group & join.  Next green post I submit there, too.

Terri--Ys, the blanket is another good do-it-yourself type project.  Very inexpensive, too.

Mary, I know it is nearly time to purchase another hot water tank.  I'm not looking forward to it because it's so difficult to get downstairs.  Good reminder, thank you!

I decided a while back that when it's time to replace our water heater, it will be time for a tankless water heater.  Now I just have to convince my husband of this.  :-)

Carole--You may want to consider the tankless style.  So much easier.  If you were closer I would Tim, T & T Plumbing, over to see you.

Irene--Good luck convincing your husband.  We didn't put one in because our water is too hard, but my son-in-law, Tim thinks that's they way to go and it saves money in the long run.
