Does conversational marketing work?

Do you need a Facebook Business Page?

Maybe.  That's really up to you.  Here's what I can tell you.  I was leading the Facebook discussion (with Heather Elias!) at ReBarCamp/San Francisco and Sandra stood up and said she had great success with her Facebook Page.  The overcrowded room moved on in conversation about many more things "facebook" and it wasn't until the next day that I was able to track her down again for this quick interview.

Mike I am (slowly) making on fan-book page (seperately), but this is an awesome idea regarding local social media sharing. Do you have many people with multiple fan pages?

Mike, This is Sandra....thank you for sharing my story on your blog. Just want to give you an update...yesterday I received an email from a guy asking for information on my community. He is an American working in Crete, Greece for the DOD. I did not know where he found me, so I pointed him to my website and my FB page for Fernley. He responded back "I found you on Facebook"! Since our interview, I have 524 fans on my Fernley, Nevada page and 72 on my Fallon, Nevada page. I love the interaction with the people and it keeps me focused on the communities.
