Historic Roswell GA is Steeped in History

Bulloch Hall

James Stephens Bulloch, a business partner of Roswell King, moved to the Roswell area following the construction of the mill and had a Greek-revival mansion, dubbed Bulloch Hall, built in 1839, not far from the mill site. Bulloch fathered four children, one of which being Martha Bulloch, who would later marry Theodore Roosevelt, Sr. and thus father Theodore Roosevelt, Jr., 26th President of the United States. Bulloch hall is open to the public 7 days a week and features a bevy of cultural experiences, ranging from civil war enactments, to classes, to guided-subject tours, to ball room dancing. Bulloch Hall and it's southern belle historical female figures were a great inspiration for Margaret Mitchell's Gone with the Wind, thus making Bulloch Hall a must-see for any true fan.

Jim, I remember Bulloch Hall but didn't know it was an inspiration for Margaret Mitchell. Will have to try to get by there next time we're in Atlanta!
