NOTICE TO ALL BUSINESS OWNERS OF RIVERDALE ILLINOIS PROPERTY

Thursday, September 17, 2009 at 5:30PM, the Riverdale Chamber of Commerce & The Riverdale Landlords' Association will have a joint meeting at the Riverdale Village Hall at 157 West 144Th Street in Riverdale, Illinois. Refreshments will be served. The village inspections of business & multi-family dwellings will be on the agenda. Landlords listen attentively at one of the meetings which are held every third Thursday of each month.

Diane I don't think that I have ever heard of a Landlords Association before, but it makes a lot of sense to me to have one.

Diane, Wow you have a really busy chamber!! So why are the two meeting together? Just curious!

Diane Sound like an interesting gathering, could be a good member recruitment opportunity for the chamber.

George, a landlord association is helpful where there is a presence of many rental units. The unity of the owners of rental properties can get common tenant problems and owner issues resolved collectively with greater effectiveness and at less expense.

Marchel: With landlords being owners, the interests are similar to chamber members. This was a net-working informational gathering. We've had business after hour sessions in the past that have been well attended. Tonight, (returned earlier) one of the topics was "Remembering When" which is a fall and fire prevention program for older adults.

Jennifer: You are correct - the doors were wide open for that in addition to neighbor to neighbor sharing.
