Market Report - Raleigh NC (Triangle Area) - Raleigh Relocation Information

Resale showings in August 2009 were above the previous year for the first time since the resale market began slowing.

Overall, resale showings in August 2009 were up 5% to resale showings in August 2008.

Some areas saw huge increases in activity, while some of the previously more popular areas actually saw decreases in homebuyer traffic.

What are the most popular areas for resale showings in the Triangle?

Wake Forest, Johnston County, and Chatham County are top of the list, while Morrisville, Cary, and Chapel Hill are actually less popular.

Market Report - Raleigh NC - Resale Showings Up - Hot Spots to Buy a New Home

Cary, Apex, Morrisville - resale showings down by 3%

North Raleigh/Falls Lake Area - resale showings up by 7%

Durham County - resales showings up by 4%

Southwest Cary, Holly Springs, and Fuquay-Varina - resale showings flat

North East Raleigh - resale showings up by 8%

Southeast Raleigh, Garner - resale showings up by 8%

Why are some areas becoming more popular for the resale market?  Perhaps due to lower home prices - overall, Chapel Hill, Carrboro, Cary, and Morrisville have had some of the area's highest values.

Great information Penny!  Look at Wake Forest...  that area is really in for a boost.  Just sold up there in Heritage and clients were really pleased at what they got for their money.  Nice report - and very well done.
