Midway Fall Festival in Midway Kentucky is the place to be in September.
This historic town hosts this event in the heart of the downtown Midway KY.

As you can see from this picture there is a train track that runs right down the middle of Main Street. The train from RJ Corman made it's apearance for my picture last year. In Midway KY everyone stops what they are doing to point and to see!
At the Midway Fall Festival there will be vendors seling jewelry, crafts, pottery, antiques and more. Be sure to bring your checkbook or cash. I made that mistake last year when I was only carrying my Visa card. Most vendors don't take plastic.

I can't believe a whole year has passed since I attended the fabulous Midway Fall Festival. This picture is of an artist that sculpts beautiful historic figures in sand.

Lizette,
The festival looks like it was fun. I also see that you have the new snazzy high-def photo. I will have to do that as soon as I start looking younger.
Love the new look! I think that sand guy was at the Virginia Beach thingie...he looks very familiar and they're always having some sort of art/sand festival. I just can't remember the name of it. Great work. It's amazing how they can do that. Lots of fairs coming up within a day's drive. This is a great time of year in Kentucky.
Hi Lizette. Thanks for highlighting this in your area. I just love festivals any time of year. Are you just getting MORE beautiful with age? Wow, that new photo is stunning...
Holy cow! Is that really a sand sculpture? Incredible.
Have a great time this weekend! hope the weather is wonderful~jen
Oh here you go again tempting me with all of your great event blogs... I remember drooling last year. ;-)
Thanks for updating on all the local events. Its a great resource for someone new to the area.
Nice new pic too
Hi, Lizette. I have to start with a compliment on your new photo, too. It's GREAT!
The Big South Fork area where I live is a destination for trail riders and from the standpoint of scenery, fabulous trails and natural beauty, it's a 10. What I miss are festivals like this, and farmer's markets.
Hey... I hope to see you at the festival on Saturday! I can't wait!
This past weekend was a busy weekend for festivals all round Kentucky. I think every spot in Hardin County had a festival, plus the Bourbon Festival in Bardstown. I missed them all! Oops.
Hi Lizette,
I love these festivals! We have similar festivals here too! Looks like fun enjoy!!
Judy
Next year I hope to be there. It always looks like great fun!
