Fran's Friday Forum...Even Smart People Can Do Dumb Things...!!!

Please don't consider me egotistical if I refer to myself as smart...!!!

I was consistently at the top of my class, scored high in the Sat's, and have a rather high IQ...!!!

But throw all that out of the window...as of Friday morning...

Let me explain...

Here is my regular morning routine...before leaving for work...

Pick up my keys from the kitchen counter, grab my briefcase, immediately upon entering the garage I press the garage door opener, get a bottle of spring water from the garage fridge, start my very used Dodge Dakota pickup truck and back out to the waiting outside world...

This morning, however, I made a crucial error...my routine was flawed...after starting the car I accidentally hit the remote garage door button which then closed the garage door behind me, and since I put the truck in reverse gear guess what I ran into...

Right...the garage door...

As of this moment I'm extremely frustrated, angry with myself for being so stupidnegligent, and anxiously awaiting the cost to repair the door...!!! See...even smartintelligent people can do dumb things...

everyone does it...most of the time it is because we have all those things on our minds that we must do and not forget! have a good one!

My Broker years ago rode bicycles, had a rack on his SUV roof, forgot about the bike up there and tried to park in his garage. It took him years to live that one down.

I took off a rear view mirror backing out of the garage a few years ago, so don't feel bad. :)

I leave my truck outside of the garage as I have a tendency to have brain farts when my routine is broken. One day I drove off after hitting the door opener opening the door even though I was parked outside. Glad my Harley was still there when I got home as the door was open all day.
