We all decide to sell our homes for different reasons.  No matter what the reason, most everyone I meet here in Orange County, California wants me to help them sell their homes and condos in the shortest period of time, for the most money with the least amount of hassle

For years, print advertising was a great way to advertise properties that are for sale.  If you've met with a Realtor® lately to discuss selling your home, you may have been surprised when they told you they wouldn't be advertising your home in the newspaper or in a glossy magazine.  Watch this compelling video to see why...then ask your Realtor® how they will be using social media and other types of internet marketing to get your home S O L D...

If you or someone you know is thinking about buying or selling a home in Orange County California it would be my pleasure to work alongside to help. Helping you achieve your goals and dreams is what I get to do...it's my profession and my joy...I'm here to help!

Our greatest hurdle isn't, as an agent, understanding that print advertising is dead or dying, the greater hurdle is getting your seller to recogize that.

Great video.  It is pretty amazing how technology has changed the way we do things.

Marlene,

Good to see you back. I am very glad I no longer work in media. It becomes harder and harder all the time to sell ads for the traditional media -- newpaper, magazines, radio, TV.

Marlene: I still use all forms of media I can. There is a time for every purpose. Anyone who thinks they can reach all buyers in all markets with electronic media is mistaken.

My clients sometimes get upset because they don't see an ad in the paper! I explain... but they want to see a newspaper ad!!

Hi Marlene, I always enjoy reading your posts and this one is most pertinent to issues we face with our sellers.  While I concur with you, I usually place one ad up front just because it helps keep my seller's happy.  But I don't continue to run them time and time again as there are better ways to get the information out there.  Even Craigslist is better than print ads.

Well that was an eye opener!  I have given in to print advertising for those people who refuse to get a computer... in Homes and Land Maui.  At least it will reach people who are here on vacation, and maybe they left their "devices" at home.
