FALL is the most colorful time of the year in New Hampshire... It IS my favorite season!
Every fall, New Englanders enjoy the brisk fall air in picturesque orchards while plucking apples off trees fresh from mother nature!
YOU are invited to attend Sullivan Farm's Annual AppleFest ...
Sullivan Farm is the only operating apple orchard located in Nashua. At Sullivan Farm, you can pick your own apples/pumpkins and buy fresh fruits, vegetables and flowers.
There also will be an art show and crafts!
This fall, Sullivan Farmis hosting an AppleFest to kick off the fundraising season for the Salvation Army of Nashua's annual Holiday Kettle Campaign and Christmas Toy Shop.
Cost: Free - All proceeds to benefit Nashua Salvation Army
The Salvation Army will be selling pies and pieces of pie with ice cream to raise funds. Nashua High School South's culinary arts program is donating some of the apple pies.
The AppleFest is a great event for the entire family... you can enjoy

Donna ~ I can't believe it is fall already... I don't think you are supposed to sample the apples along the way, but it is pretty difficult not to.. There are so many varieties and they smell so good. The apple pies are awesome.. I better go on a diet now! (lol).
LeoLinda -- It lloks nice and warm in Arizona... I hope to make it to this event... However, things are so busy... we will have to see how things work out. It is so much fun and I would love to make it!
Hi Joan, A few posts back, you did a post and showed the new coming of the Fall colors. I mentioned to you in my comment that it made me think of a song by Bette Midler " From a Distance". I decided to share that with the rest of our friends here in the Rain and I credited you for inspiring me. Perhaps when you have time, search out my post called " From a Distance" and enjoy the music tribute credited to you. I would put a ink here for you but that practice is verbotten , at least without prior permission and I didn't want to distract your readers away from your post. I hope you enjoy this.
Joan, we have Lyman Orchards around here, and this is one of the best times of the year to visit there. Apple picking can be a lot of fun for the whole family.
Joan, I wish I were closer! I just came from Mary's post with a great Apple Pie recipe. We must have a place to get fresh apples, I'll have to scout around.
William -- I am so glad the fall photos inspired you, my friend.. and Bette's song is so beautiful and hopeful. Sorry I missed the post... Things got a little hectic and somehow I didn't see it!
I try to read all your posts and I enjoy your photos so much and remembering all those beautiful places we used to visit on the West Coast... and now I can relive those moments "From a Dstance".
By the way.. you always have permission to leave a link on my posts...
George ~ Lyman orchards sounds like the place to pick apples. It is so much fun.. Hope you get there.
Jennifer ~ There are so many varieties... At the local farm, there are about a dozen different varieties and I am going to have to pay more attentention to their names. One is especially wonderful and smells and tastes great.. I'll get back to you on that!
Carole ~ The smell of apple pie and apple crisp is in the air... Since you are from the BIG APPLE, you need not look any further. Enjoy the beautiful New England fall.
Judi ~ I am hoping that I will have a little time to stop by. It is a lot of fun and the Salvation Army does such great work for everyone and they can use the donations.
