This past week while attending the Maryland Real Estate Convention I stayed at a friends condo not far from the convention site. Though I spent very little time at the condo, the time I was able to relax was spent enjoying beautiful views of the ocean and lots of comfortable amenities within.

Ocean City View

Upon entering the half bath one day I noticed a little cut out in the half bath door. Wondering what it might be I took a closer look. Well low and behold seems the door swung wider than there was room for so a notch was made in the door to make clearing the toilet a breeze.

Creativity

I gotta give my friend a 'thumbs up' for a creative solution to the problem.

Martha, I'm so jealous!  We didn't make it to OC this summer...its one of my favorite places.  So glad you got to take advantage while at convention!

That is so funny.

But they should have gone all the way and put a flap in the notch so the user would have privacy with the door closed.

Martha, That's so funny.  It seems someone was off in the measurements by just a touch :)

Martha:  Sometimes you just have to get creative.  It's either that or live without a door on the bathroom.  :)

Boy I never would've thought of that!  I agree with the flap on the door, I think it would add just a little extra!

HI Martha - That is really funny, but it is pretty clever.  Looks like they bought a new toilet and then realized they couldn't get into the bathroom to use it!
