Finally got an Iphone

Real Estate Agent with Lucky Star Realty

I just got my first Iphone yesterday at the local ATT store.  I was hesitant at first becuase in my home town area of Eureka, CA in Humboldt County, ATT had just moved into our area about a year ago and I was afraid that its service would not be as good as the cell provider that I have been with for the past 4 years, US Cellular.  But all the applications that one can do with the Iphone intriged me enough to finally make the plunge and go for it.  (I still have service with my current provider, but there is a 30 day money back garantee with ATT, so if I do not like my Iphone, unlikely now, I can cancel service).

So last night and and today I have been downloading Iphone aps like crazy.  They have aps for everything! There are about 30,000 free Iphone aps and 60,000 more  pay for ones.  I discovered that there are a handfull of applications for Realtors and buyers and sellers in general.  There are applications from Zillow, real estate dot com, and more.  There are even Realtor made aps for clients to contact them.  I am still exploring and although the data service is spotty at times, all the package of the Iphone and what it allows me to do while on the go is worth it.

Please share your experiences with the Iphone.  I am curios to know whether other agents prefer the Iphone or the Black Berry.  There are certainly pros and cons.

Congratulations on your iphone!! I'm sure you will enjoy it. I haven't gotten one yet.  I just use my phone for calls and texting. :)

Hi Thav,

Had mine now for a few months and I'm still learning. Since I'm in So Cal and traffic is such an issue, I use maps all the time to get a heads up before I hop on the freeway.

Open table (nothing to do with r.e.) is another, oh and I use weather daily, I routinely check on a couple of locations.

Have fun!

Got to love those apps! There are so many and it is easy to get addicted on the apps. My two-yr-old works the phone better than I do and has some cool apps for him to learn from. ~Rita

Thank you everyone for commenting.  It has been great so far and I'm learning new apps everyday! did you know you can make an app for your own Realtor Profile?

Thanks for keeping the pressure on me...been trying to withstand the urge to buy a new phone..don't know if I'm just being a tightwad or afraid of the new technology.

Glad you had a good report to share with all of us.
