I learned a lot more than I ever imagined while watching my six year old and her team mates on the soccer field today. This is her first year playing soccer and she was extremely excited about trying it out. Today was the second game of the season. Those little girls ran around that field in the dire sun and never gave up.  Soccer  From the side lines you could hear the parents shouting things like "turn it around" and "take your time." With focus, effort and team work they pulled together and won the game. By the end of the game, there was noting but wet hair and little flushed faces. But truly the funniest thing was that in the end what they all seemed most excited about was running through the "tunnel" formed by the parents. Truly a lesson...sometimes it's the littlest thing that keeps us motivated and makes us happy.

I thought about it in my everyday life and in my business. What are the little things that really motivate me? And I laugh even as I type this because indeed it is the little things. I am motivated to go to work each day because I am truly intrigued by Real Estate. I am motivated to go to the gym in the morning because I enjoy the time alone to meditate and reflect as I strengthen my body. I am motivated to get home early on Friday nights because I look forward to pizza and movie nights with my children.  motivationThose little six-year-olds will never know how great of an impact they had on me today...but I know and I am thankful.

Keisha,

That brings back good memories of the soccer games my kids used to play in . They LOVE the parent tunnel.  Kids so long for their parents' approval.  Thankfully, my kids at 10 and 13 still want to "hang" with  mom b/c they know they are loved. :)

Cute picture!  The girls are all business and too cute with their bows!!

Keisha,

You have brought back some great memories when my daughters were that age and they played their first games.  My, my where has the time gone?  Enjoy the pizza nights with them because the time goes very quick!!
