This is looking toward the Furnace Creek area, lowest spot in the Valley. took these Mothers Day 2005 after one of the wettest winters the area had had. The wild flower bloom was just wounderful, but the flowers were so small didn't make for good pictures.

Looks very alive right now.  I get out that way once in a while as my in laws live in southern California.  I never knew before I visited what a misconception I had of desert property.
