Oh yes....that's nice! I had one land on my head recently when I opened the attic access door for my buyers, not doing that again! Needless to say, we didn't buy that house.
Karen & Leolinda - We think the little rat just squeezed himselft thru the grates. I've heard they can compress themselves into some pretty tight places. He was actually already dead when we found him so my husband just unscrewed the top off and pulled him out.
I cannot even imagine one falling on my head, Karen. That's the stuff nightmares are made of!
Yikes is right! Nightmares for sure. I don't even want to think about it.
Ok, that isn't something that I would like to go out and find, but it would be worse to have one land on my head!
Graphic picture...I may be having creepy dreams tonight! We have an Owl house out here, the have nested in it for years, and those birds really take care of any farm rodents.
PS I can't imagine one falling on my head either
Good Morning Tony & Darcy! It's gone! Gone! Gone!! Thank goodness.
Hey Kathleen - hope you didn't have any creepy dreams! :)
Sandy - they're everywhere! Just never had one in my air conditioning unit before.
Eeeewww - is right! At least it was outside. A friend just had this terrible smell in her car and they found a dead cooking rat under the hood. We call her the "rat racer" now :)
Good Morning April, Lee & Carol. I guess even if you live in the desert you can still find these little devils in places you don't want to. We have a couple of traps in place now near the AC unit and the pool heater.
eeewwwww on your head Karen! I would still be screaming. I hate mice! Was it dead or alive? Maybe dead would be better than alive...at least it wouldn't be trying to run somewhere.....eeewww!
No kidding good thing it was dead. And thank goodness my husband was here to get rid of it. YUK!
Oh dear!! He probably went in to get the accumulated moisture to quench his thirst. Bet he didn't know he'd have Internet exposure in his death! LOL Thanks for your comment on my post Jane!
Diane
Jane: Anything that crawls, wiggles, jumps or slithers gives me the creeps and I especially hate rats. How did you get it out?
Diane - I hadn't thought about the seeking moisture idea. I'll bet that was it. We think something happened to him when the fan kicked on.
Sandy - My husband had to unscrew the top and lift it out. It was pretty creepy. We've been in this house 9 years and that's the first time we've seen one of those. I hope we never see another one.
Jane, Yikes is right. That is really creepy. I wouldn't have handled that well at all. LOL.
