Market conditions picking up?
The last two weekends have been very promising moving forward in the current housing market. Many people coming into the open houses are what I would call first time lookers. This group of people are just starting to look around and seeing what the neighborhoods are like. At this point, they are generally not partial to any neighborhood and quite ready to buy, but want to see what the different homes and neighborhoods. I find this very exciting. I see this group of people as the next wave of buyers over the next 90 to 120 days. By these numbers we should see a good fall season.
My role in this step of the process is to help these potential buyers with supplying material that will make their investigation and research beneficial. Also in this timeframe we begin to talk about the plan of purchasing a home and what kind of home the "buyer" may be looking for.
These upward trends continues to look promising as we head in the fall season. Whether buying or selling I think people will be quite pleased with the market conditions. Don't forget the federal tax credit ends the end of November. This means you must close Escrow prior to the end of November.
September brings some of the best weather to the peninsula. Remember to take some time for yourself and enjoy what brings us to the peninsula.
Have a great week!
