Do you Need to lose a loved one?

I just read this post from my friend Liz Loadholt in South Carolina and was wondering how I missed it in the beginning! But now that I've found it, I hope that you will participate too!

I know there are lots of you out there that have family, friends, neighbors in the armed services. Come on! Jump on board! Let's support our troops and show them we mean business!

Just wondering why only 2 Active Rainers have joined the new group - "Support Our Troops Friday"?

What does it take to get you to participate? This is just one small way that you can show your appreciation.

Join this group and every Friday, post something about our Troops --- maybe a photo showing how your office is wearing red, white & blue to show the support -- may a story about your spouse, your parent, your child or a friend who has served so that we can have our freedom.

My son id in the Navy and I talk to him every week. It is more for me than him, but he likes it.

Great idea...we have a buyer we have come to know thru the internet...she visited last spring and won't be back until next spring....we will let her know and particpate "with her." Thanks !

I missed Liz's post on Friday because I was in NYC at my grandmothers burial at Long Island National Cemetery. She was buried not far from the grave of her stepson Lance Corporal Gilbert Carlo Berringer, USMC who died fighting in Vietnam. I saw her post yesterday and joined.

Carol --- thanks so much for the re-blog of this post ---You reached folks that I didn't.BTW, I love your new photo.

Can I still join the one for over sixty if I'm not sixty yet? Just because I'm not sixty yet doesn't mean I'm concerned about lies ahead of me :)

To TLW - I don't think there is a stumbling block for join the over 60 group, but you can always check with Liz Loadholt since it's her group.
