5 Comments on Crofton Maryland Real Estate - Civic Association Meeting Could Impact Your Property Value
Margaret, sounds as if you're very involved with Crofton's future. It looks lovely from the photo -- is that the "before" pic??
Margaret: If that's a current photo, then I don't see the problem. Since it's not up to par though, I think anytime there is a pond or lake, it's a great focal point. But then I'm a water bug. Let us know what happens to Lake Louise.
Margaret..No truer words were spoken..keeping up landscaping in communities give lasting impressions..Let's keep our communities beautiful even in these hard economic times....Thank you

We all need to be aware of the community we live in the perception of the public will effect how future buyers view our area. Good that you bring it to the attention of the people that live there.
Yes, Carla - This is a "before" picture, in that it was taken on a spring day when the cherry trees were in bloom. However, that's only about a two-week distraction from the poor upkeep in the area. They cut the grass but do not maintain a beautiful green lawn, the pond is filled with silt and quickly dries up for most of the summer... it's really an eyesore.
Donna - This used to be a beautiful area, but somewhere along the way, the community stopped treating the grassy area as lawn and stopped maintaining the plantings. On the other side of the main road into the community, they even stopped cutting the grass and let it go back to nature. Yuk!
Hannah - In the 70's, prospective buyers were awed by our beautiful community... I haven't heard any oohs or ahhhs for many years, as we drove into "Old Crofton"
Terry - This once-beautiful area is really an eyesore now, and one of the proposoals on the table is to redesign it as a natural area. In other words, spend some money to make it intentionally NOT a well-manicured area greeting people into the community.
Thanks for your comments, everyone. I suspect I know what the response would be if I put out a survey among real estate agents with the options that are on the table...
