Today is the last official day of Summer 2009...

We can now choose to either celebrate Autumn 2009 with anticipation or we can choose to rue the closing of Summer 2009 by falling into despair and disappointment...!!!

Life is all about choices...!!!

We learn to make right choices by prudently forming our consciences so as to enable us to make right decisions...right choices...!!!

In order to accomplish this task, we need some standard of morality upon which to rely...!!!

This should be a reason for rejoicing...for having hope...no matter what your religious or economic situation...!!!

If you are a Christian, you're fortunate enough to have the Bible and Sacred Tradition as a moral compass...If you are a Jew, you have The Torah and Old Testament Scriptures upon which to be guided...if you are an atheist or agnostic, you have the Natural Law that God our Creator has instilled in every human being...!!!

So, no matter who you are, enjoy the magnificent display of the fall colors these next few weeks...and remember...

What is going on right now in nature is necessary to produce everything we enjoy and anticipate about the Spring...!!!

I agree.  We should only look forward with a positive attitude.  To me, the Fall is the best time of year.

Fran, Very good post. Fall and Spring are my favorite seasons. I like winter too, but definitely not summer.

I want to celebrate Autum 2009 and Winter 2009 with Anticipation. Life is truely all about choices.

Have a good day.

Jeff: Great attitude! Many see Fall as the 'doormat' for Winter, rather than the preparation for Spring...!!!

Lori: I too am glad you clicked on my blog...About being wise, however, I'm not so sure...!!! Happy Fall...!!!

Yolanda: Anticipation is a good emotion...!!!

Suma: Let's all resolve to make good choices...!!!

AS far as the season change- I love it! By the time I'm tired of one season the next one is coming, and Fall is my favortie. As far as life- we should always be hopeful. Change is a natural and necessary part of life. Happy Fall!

Are you kidding me!!!  Fall is the best season for riding a horse!!  No bugs and beautiful colors surround.  I still got 2 good months of horse camping!!  God is so good!

So true Fran. May people don't like winter, but without it we wouldn't have a Spring. God's creation is a lesson book of life for us.

Fran, back when I lived in New York, my next door neighbors had a ritual to celebrate this changing of the seasons.  We would drink the last of the summer Sangria and burn the first of the winter firewood.

Hi, Fran

This is, without question, my favorite time of the year. There is nothing better than the crisp autumn air and the bright colors of the leaves. A definite painting from God.
