About the Fellowship of Christian Athletes - Heritage

Since 1954, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes has challenged athletes and coaches to impact the world for Jesus Christ.  The playing field is where many cultivate their values.  A staggering 41 million kids between 8 and 18 play competitive sports.  That's why, as the largest Christian sports ministry in the world, we believe FCA is needed more than ever.  We need more athletes and coaches who play with heart.  But to do that, we must first feed their soul.

FCA reached over two million last year for Christ through our "4 C's" of Ministry: Coaches, Campus, Camps, and Community.  With greatly valued volunteer and financial support, we are indeed putting the heart and soul in sports.

Coaches

Fellowship of Christian Athletes is devoted to strengthening coaches and families to reach youth.  Coaches impact their campus through huddles, team studies, chapels, camps and events.

Campuses

Nearly 200 campuses across Houston, Texas are impacted by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.  Over 8,000 individuals impacted weekly.

Camps

Over 1,000 being impacted through Houston FCA through sports, leadership, and inner-city camps.

Community

FCA Houston reached 29,730 people last year through 7 local offices, over 60 local board members, and currently serving 57 school districts.

Eric Anderson is the East Area Director for the Houston Fellowship of Christian Athletes.  The total number of schools impacted by Eric is currently 56 with 30 FCA huddles.  Church partners include Kingwood Bible Church, Kingwood Methodist Church, Kingwood First Baptist Church, Crosby Church, and Humble First Baptist Church.

out of respect for the Lord.

I protect it from within and without.
Nothing enters my body that
does not honor the Living God.
My sweat is an offering to my Master.
My soreness is a sacrafice to my Savior.

I give my all - all of the time.
I do not give up.  I do not give in.
I do not give out.  I am the Lord's warrior -
a competitor by conviction
and a disciple of determination.
I am confident beyond reason
because my confidence lies in Christ.
The results of my efforts
must result in His glory.
