Twitter for Real Estate

By
Real Estate Agent with Integrity First Financial Group, Inc.

Just wanted to take a minute and share what I have found! Twitter for Real Estate! Shout instead of update! You have 200 characters versus 140! Update your Facebook and Twitter automatically from Twitter for Real Estate.

Shows popular shouts, subscribe to popular users and their shouts! So far so fun!

The advice, during recent technology seminars, is NOT TO overdo on the twitter and vfacebook accounts that allow for automatic and repeat postings of listings, open houses, etc. Having these posted repeatedly is akin to spamming your friends and associates.

The advice we received is to have a "personality" other than our real estate persona.

Twitter was not designed to spam...but automatic and repeated postings will be considered as such.

Beware!

Stephanie, I just took a look but I am totally confused.  Is this an official Twitter site?  How is this one supposed to be used?  Is it only for professionals or are they hoping to attract the consumer to this site too?  So many questions...  I haven't heard of this one...

Hi Pacita, Chanda and Anthony-

I did do some research prior to posting and used my Twitter user name and password to sign in.  I also noticed that Brad Andersohn of Active Rain was also a member! I would much rather Tweet (or Shout in this case) on a site for Real Estate than Twitter!

Often times if I have posted something in my blog that I want to share with my network, I will post on more than one site so that I can share with the different arena's I have on each. I do not use Twitter to spam, nor do I take the sites to the extreme as I have seen by some.

I appreciate the comments! Happy Shouting, Twittering or Facebooking! Whichever you prefer!

I haven't taken the Twitter plunge yet, I don't know about taking on something else to distract my focus.  Thanks for stopping by my blog!
