Sunday President Obama appeared for a marathon number of TV interviews. He was interviewed by 5 news networks. He did not include the most popular cable news outlet FOX NEWS.
For more than a week Fox News has been unveiling damaging videos regarding Acorn. The activities brought to light include aiding individuals to commit mortgage fraud, tax fraud, child prostitution and other unlawful activities.
Congress and the Senate both passed bills to cut off funding to Acorn. The Director of the Census Bureau severed ties with the organization. Certainly those reactions were both note worthy and newsworthy.
President Obama was asked by George Stephanopoulos if he would cut off funding to Acorn in light of the recent revelations. President Obama replied that frankly he had not been paying too much attention to the news about Acorn. He said he really did not know Acorn was getting that much federal money. His excuse was there were far too many other pressing issues in this country besides Acorn.
President Obama was quick to call the Police in Cambridge "stupid" when his good friend Prof Gates was arrested. The day after the MTV awards President Obama was caught on mic saying he thought Kanye West acted like a "jackass".
One must wonder what news source President Obama relies on? The stories about Prof. Gates and Kanye West are worthy of a Presidential rebuke, but Acorn is not.
Mr. President, perhaps you should tune into the Fox Network so you can be kept abreast of the news the American people consider to be important.
