Where's the blockage? Seems like traffic flow is slower than it should be.

Ever been on the highway cruising along @ 70 MPH and you come around a bend and see nothing but a  sea of RED Brake lights in front of you?

Of COURSE you have . . .

The first thought is one of avoidance . . .

Like a mouse in a maze

"How can I get past this?"

How can I out-smart all these other poor lemmings and reach MY destination on time?

With no short-cuts apparent, you eventually settle in and inch forward along with everyone else wondering where the blockage is and imagining that it's a great big, tragic accident . . . and also wondering how far away it is . . .

You top a hill and look forward and FINALLY see a beautiful thing . . . 1/2 mile ahead, there is a visible break in the log-jamb . . . THOSE cars are trickling through the blockage and bursting through at highway speed.

When you reach the blockage, the reality is not nearly as large as your conjured image . . .  a minor accident . . . and the blockage seems to be a product of volume and rubber-necking.

The same thing happens in your business and life.

We have periods of time during which we cruise along smoothly . . . and then we encounter a slow-down.

Is this slow-down a significant blockage, or will we work through it?

First task is to identify the  blockage and protect yourself from imagining the worst.

9 times out of 10, you'll find it's really not a big deal . . . Just something to "Work Through".

But look for patterns . . .

Working through doesn't necessarily fix the root issue . . . It just gets ya through THIS time . . . What about next time?

Could it be that you've discovered a ceiling that you're bumping against?

The slow-down is a blockage that you might have created to keep yourself in your comfort zone rather than freeing you to SOAR into new and wonderfully scary frontiers.

An example that might ring true for REALTORS and business people of all types . . .

Our volume flow of business correlates DIRECTLY to our ability to LEAD GENERATE consistently and effectively.

We KNOW this is important ... Without leads, we don't last.

Yet some folks STILL don't do it consistently . . . Where's the blockage?

I think the odds are decent that the blockage might be some form of CALL RELUCTANCE.

"They don't want to talk to me"

"They'll be mean to me"

"I don't want to be an intrusion"

"What if I say the wrong thing"

Here's the deal  . . .

You've either gotta change your attitude or give up on your goals . . .

Which is it going to be?

This is gonna take some serious Affirmation work along with a nice dose of accountability, a dash of skills/scripts training and LOTS of PRACTICE.

Is your commitment to your goals strong enough to overcome your tendency to avoid the uncomfortable?

Will you park your car by the side of the road and sit there . . . or will you identify and clear your blockage?

I'm just sayin'

Best,

b
