Pumkins, Pumkins and More Pumkins!

I was delighted to come across this yard full of pumpkins in Orem, Utah.

I took some photos and then of course I had to buy a few. Some of them had warts on the outside which added some extra personality. Pumpkins

The children were drawn immediatley to the unusual warted variety.

All that orange was irresistable.

It looks like the "warted variety" are simply large gourds. You wouldn't be the first one to think that big gourds were pumpkins.

Carol-I like the pictures. Here at our home in southern Idaho we had a huge pumpkin crop as well. I guess we are nearly neighbors. Have a great week.

Carol - fantastic photo. Looks like a listing! Your comments about the warts - reminds me that in this age where everyone is seeking perfection (air brushing, cosmetic surgery etc), there is still beauty and curiosity in nature's imperfections. Warts - excellent!
