Everyone in San Antonio is happy today.

After a record-setting brutally hot summer, it rained in San Antonio today.  Since I didn't have any important morning plans, my sweet husband got up early, took care of the pets, brewed coffee, and opened the outside door to our bedroom.  I slept like a baby 'til 9:20 when I awoke to the cozy sound of soft rain falling and the feel of the cool outdoor air on my face.  Bliss...

The high temperature today was only about 75 degrees and right now it is 66 degrees on our patio.  What a wonderful first day of Fall it was.

(I later found out our high was in the 60's.)

Shirley, We had a very similar day and it was wonderful.  I love the sun so don't usually get excited about rain but when you have not seen much it looks VERY GOOD!!

Shirley,

Today was absolutely wonderful.  I planned to work from home today to wait for the cable company anyways, so the rain just made it so much nicer.

It seems as soon as we think it will never rain again in San Antonio, we are blessed with rain.

It was a beautiful day, sat on the couch, relaxed, worked (of course) and just enjoyed the sound and smell of the rain.

More coming later this week, so get your favorite spiced tea and hot cocoa recipes out.

And the temps!!  I could be using the fireplace right now, but all my wood is wet.  Did not expect this cool down.

I loved your post. It described what I've been thinking all day.

Ah Shirley, what a beautiful description of Bliss!  I'm glad you got rain, nice cool temps and a gorgeous first fall day!  I'm afraid to report we had snow yesterday, for our last day of summer LOL!  It didn't stick to the ground where I live, but many parts of mountain Colorado are already white!

Shirley,

I can hear your relief! I don't know how you have managed all summer! I think it is bad without rain for more than a week! I am also happy today for all of the people in San Antonio !

Shirley - well heck, if you would have told us you wanted some rain we could have given you some of the almost 20 inches we got in the last week. Good that you got to sleep in.

We are in agreement with everyone, rain and cooler weather is great for the soul. We were at the stage where we needed an attitude adjustment when it came to talking weather.

Hi, Shirley:

Well, I was happy for at least half the day! Until I discovered the horrible thing that happened as a result of the rain.

Still waiting for my handyman to show up.

Cheers,

Robin

Hi Dale, Thanks!

Hi Marchel, Too much of anything isn't good... sun, rain, etc.

Hi Melissa, While I was out today I discovered that Starbuck's has their seasonal Pumpkin Spice Latte and of course I had one...

Hi Judy, Sound cozy... maybe we will have some fireplace weather soon.

Hi Mary, It seems like you just got rid of the snow but I think that was in April

Hi Judy S, This was the worst summer ever for us.

Hi Trey, I have a pretty good idea where they all went.

LOL Mike...

Hi C&C, Glad you are enjoying the cool weather, too.

Hi Robin, Hope that pesky leak is taken care of.

Hi Debi, Your 3rd day of snow this early in the season? Wow...  I'll bet it's beautiful.

No fair, you slept until 9:20 am.  My Marci is always getting me up when it is time to feed her.  That is usually around 5:30 am.  Not today though, I made sure my bedroom door was closed last night.  She meowed her heart out but I did not budge.

Luckliy hubby came home and feed her or else she would still be at my door.

It's hard to sleep late when you have pets, Angelia.  Usually I am the one that gets up and takes care of them.

Hi Vegas Bob,  Thank you, thank you very much!!!

Shirley,

Hallelujah, we also experienced some of that much needed rain, and a drop in temperature.  I don't think the AC kicked on at all yesterday.

Shirley!  I'm happy for you!  I love FALL.  I was actually thinking how wonderful it is here at 59 degrees.  It was a hot summer as well in Pullman, WA.  Have a great day.  Enjoy the rain.
