I was just sitting here reading old Posts and thinking of all the time I invested in this network.  Learning, putting out fires, and writing from my heart.  Oh, not mushy stuff, just heartfelt thoughts that made sense out of things.  But in reading the comments I saw people I haven't seen in a long time.  Where did all the Bloggers go?  I remember my first year on Active Rain.

The people I read at the time disappeared.  Where did they go?  I know now where they went, to the same places I have been.  Learning all over the Internet with the Blogging skills we learned here.  Writing on other platforms, socializing on Twitter and Facebook. Dreaming and hoping their dreams aren't lost as they find their way in this big Wide World of the Web.

Dreaming

Where have all the Bloggers gone?  They mentor new people, they go to the REBar Camps, Blogger get togethers, and Tweet updates of what's going on in their lives......short quick encounters.  I see people all over the Internet that I met here.  But to tell the truth I miss many of the people I used to blog with and comment on their Posts.

We come to learn, to grow our business, and a host of other reasons, and sometimes people just have to follow their dreams no matter where that is. When one Blogger leaves another takes their place.....

Follow your Dreams........and if that means we will miss you, then so be it.  We all have to be true to ourselves in the long run.

HI Kathy - I have noticed that some of the folks I have been subscribed to haven't posted in a long time either.  I hope they are okay and just too busy to visit with us.  I've seen some "newbies" become veterans in the last year or so though, so I guess there is some rotation in and out.

Susan- That's a good way of saying it, "a rotation in and out" which is the natural order it seems.  I am glad I met some of those "newbies" cuz now they are the faces we see most :)  Hope all is well with you .......

Hi Kathy, I miss many people as well.  I don't see them anymore but always hope they'll come back one day.  I've contacted a few but didn't hear back, I always hope things are well.

Hi Kathy,

Well I can tell you my friend it's good to see you again in the Rain! It's been a while. And like you, I've wondered about some myself. I also agree with Susan's comment about newbie/veterans, you can see the trend.

To add a little more, I also think it's an issue of being consistant, in real estate in general. I've seen it over the years, people try one thing, then another and another. Being consitant with production and everything is always an issue.

Kathy - I have often asked this question ... but as you say we see some in other places so we know they are alright just busy. As for those who left there are many reasons I am sure.

Carol- Yea well many do come back :)  And some people do call you back LOL :)

Oh Linda it's good to see you too....you made a good comment about being consistent. That is one thing that you need for blogging.....consistency :)

Hi Todd- I miss seeing you too.....all those Beaverton articles, bet I could rewrite some of them without even looking :)  I have a lot on my plate but am trying.

Why hello there Kathy.....yea the reasons vary for why people aren't here....nice to see you still are :)

Hi Kathy - In a way, all of the new social media sites have pulled our focus and diffused our content. I've seen changes in AR too, not necessarily good or bad, just different. I'm doing a 'social media inventory' to help me decide if I need to shift my efforts and I'm expecting that will include more blogging.

John- Hi...nice to see you again.  Yes, I absolutely agree with your assesment.  I have been all over, and am already bored with some of the sites, love others, but nothing compares to this community IMO ;)
