South Jordan home sales are pretty much in the tank. Values increased over March and April but declined as sellers finally negotiated a sale. May home values were only 2.8% higher than prices in May 2006. That is one of the smallest annual increases in Salt Lake County.

A bigger concern for the South Jordan home market is the absorption rate. At 10.1 months it is deep into a buyers market. The table shows the rate declined 11% in May which was a reaction to sellers negotiating lower prices.

Compare South Jordan to the rest of Salt Lake County and you'll see it is not doing as well as other cities.

South Jordan may become an opportunity for investors as the inventory increases and sellers become anxious to sell.
