What does this Mean? Active Rain Featured Blog

I had a artical I wrote the other day featured here on active rain http://activerain.com/blogsview/122708/A-Open-Letter-to how does that happen, are you nominated by someone, is having that happen really that big of a deal? Do articles get featured for just a short amount of time or do they stay in there for a while.

I would love to know what everyone thinks of this process, if they know the process, and if they know what if any benefit there is to being featured. Also read the artical and if you agree comment on it or send RISmedia a nasty gram of your own.

Please teach me as I want to learn, so please voice your opinions.

As far as I remember, there's 4 moderators that read the posts daily. (this is a volunteer position of the 4 member that are doing this task. Last I heard, it was being done in shifts.) If one of them feels it would be a good post to feature, they will feature it.

Hi James, in The Art Of Marketing You group our criteria for featuring a post is mostly based on how on topic the post is, i.e. marketing, branding, etc... and how valuable or useful the content of the post is to the members of the group.
