Do you link your blogs to your website?

Do you know how to link your blog post to your website?

Do you  link your blog post to your website?  Why or why not?

If you don't and you would like to, here is how you do it...

It's simple.

1. Highlight your "title".  Hit control "C"

2. Type your website at the bottom of your post, for example:  http://www.KarenMonsour.com

3. Highlight:  http://www.KarenMonsour.com  (you need the http://)

4. Hit the picture of the "tree" in the tool bar.

5. Hit control "C" again and the title of your blog will appear.

6. You can let this open in a new window or choose to open it in the same window.

7. Then, you are linked.

When people look for you on the internet, they can find you.

Do you link?  Or not?

Why or why not?

I link. A lot. But I tend to link back to my blogroll archives more than to my traditional website.

Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't.  It depends on the content of the blog.

Ralph,

You are too funny...I just sent you an email about my last post...I corrected myself and gave Rob Swetz some credit...well deserved.

Ally,

You are welcomed...this helps you with google juice.  I didn't know how to do it in the beginning either, but some wonderful member taught me how...it's the power of AR!

Vicki,

Do you do that in a different manner than I described?  If you do, will you share how please?

Jane,

Will be curious as to what your guru has to say and if you do it the same way.

I have a link in my signature - so it is done automatically.  I just had to change that because when the feature was added to add a "pic" as our signature, I soon discovered that the jpg was not clickable - so that didn't work.

So - wouldn't the automatic inclusion of your website url in your signature suffice?

Lana,

There are situations where I don't as I pointed out above to Kate...however Rob Swetz is so right...it's all about the google juice...(Did you ever think we would be using those words?  LOL)

Rick,

I don't know, that is a great question.  How did you set up your link?  Just curious if you want to share.

On second thought, I also include mine as well, but I was told when I joined over 2 years ago that I had to do as above to attach...let me know.

I just followed the tutorials from Brad or Jeremy.  Looks like the same way you describe.  I didn't put any customized text though.

What I also do is have a link in my signature to my You Tube Video that is also part of my signature.  Then, in my blog post, I just tell people to make sure they "click on the link below" to watch the Video of How I work, and that's the text I use - so it's pretty easy for them to follow.

My logo at the bottom of every post is linked to my website.  So, yes, I guess I do link!  I didn't realize it was so important.

Rick,

That is so cool...I'm going to check out your site...I have never posted a You Tube Video yet, but it does sound promising.

Sharon,

That is great, however, do you do the linking as I describe above?  That is how people can find you...so I have been told...it IS WORKING for me.
