Real Estate Virtual Assistant Says No To Spam! Hi, everyone...just a quick rant here this morning...I know I can't be the only one out there who has their contact form (which is meant for client and preclient contact) abused by spammers. So I thought this would be a fun blog to see how many dumb things people hijack our contact forms for. Here's mine:

Job Applications! - I am a Real Estate Virtual Assistant, not a staffing service, I am not going to hire you! If I do occasionally need to outsource some work, I will do so to other professionals who I have met via online networking and who I have come to trust their integrity and the value of their work...not to spammers who hijack my contact form!
Adult Product Sales - Yes...I have gotten those emails through my contact forms...'nuff said!

I've ranted a few times about PR people using mine... on my WordPress blog. Asking me to blog about an upcoming event, an opening, etc.

I blogged about one PR person using my contact form to ask me to run across town to the grand opening of a burger place THAT day... that was a rant. They have a place right by me but I am dead set against supporting the burger place because of their PR firm.

Part of the reason it makes me so angry is I am using my contact form from my RE website. I think it's a lead and it's not! Severe disappointment from the very beginning.

My fave on my website's contract form is the ad from SEO companies that tell me that they can put my site on Page 1 in Google. My question is: How did they find my site long enough to fill in my contact form?? I'm thinking it must've been a search engine. Like, duh.
