Allright, now I'm going to have to think of something to be on my soapbox about, right? Would a pet peeve list be too much of a downer? Yeah, I think so. Therefore how about noting the one most important thing about ActiveRain to me? The most important thing to me about AR is:

I am learning! I am learning about so many different things I'm not sure where to start. So I'll just leave it with a few catagories.

  • Staging variances and trends
  • Real Estate in General
  • Photography
  • SEO
  • Different parts of the country and the world
  • Marketing
  • Best Practices
  • Different people who I've been able to learn more about because of the portal of AR

OK, it is your turn. What is the most important part of AR to you?

Prescott flower

I just happened to like this photo and decided to throw it in here for your viewing pleasure.

Oh you are good you...in fact you took mine. I guess the most important thing to me on here so far has been the advice. Everyone sees things differently and it's nice to get a different perspective on things and get advice when you are stumped or at a cross roads. This place is awesome!

I think the most important thing is the friends I've made!  Gold star anyone?

Always the learning experience but I think the exposure that I have gotten because of my blogging. I get many calls from people who have found me on AR.

i think the most important thing is the people I've met and the advice I've gotten!

Phyllis and Penny, It seems that it boils down to people no matter how we look at it; doesn't it? People who hire us, people who teach us, people who are glad for something we could help them with, and people who we like to spend time with. While we are on AR we are spending time with a lot of people.

Yvonne: By far the most valuable thing I have gotten from AR is 'the Drips' (no it is not an illness) and the friends I have made - including you.

Michelle, You are so right. Being a drip is one of the most advantagous things that can happen here in the rain. I'm so glad to be counted among your friends. My gosh, girl, your McMansions are so fabulous that I'll even get dried off to be able to see them!

Well Yvonne, I have encountered the wonderful complex mix of humantiy here! I'm sure you know what I mean. I'm fairly new, have been learning a lot, but in the process of finding my way around & bumping into things I have found most of my time is spent navigating the waters. It's a step curve for me.

The most significant thing  that happened for me was to find my listing at the top of local searches - immediately.

I have intention to study materials in various groups. Your choices are inspiring.

Yvonne, me again - I wonder if you would sent me the link to the photography group?  Much appreciated!

Love it all but especially the networking! Just had a power lunch today with Betsy Talbot, a smart and talented Virtual Assistent. I secretly picked her brain... wonder if she noticed over the yummy chicken linguini??? thanks for this post!!!

Julianna, How very cool that must have been. Betsy and I have emailed and talked on the phone but I haven't been able to meet her. I think she is wonderful. She is helping me and letting me get through a "time taken" portion of my life. The interesting part is I already think of her as my VA. After I sent a note to her the other day I mentioned to my daughter that I had emailed my VA and my daughter asked, "Betsy?" Chicken linguini and Betsy at the same time? I'm jealous.

Do they give you penecillan of you are a drip??

I love the people Ive met on the rain!  Most of all.  When I decided to enter this crazy business I was starving for someone, ANYONE who knew the biz & could commistreate/celebrate (depending on the day!) I also love being WAY up on the search engines.  I really LOVE when people call me & say they googled me and I popped up via the Rain :)

Karen, My understanding is drips get no meds because they have sisters to depend on. How cool is that? You are so right. Being found via AR is simply awesome. You are also correct about being able to laugh or cry together when there is a need for either.
