I have no words. This is an extremely rare thing for me, but genuinely I have no words! Below you will find a You Tube video showing Elementary School kids singing the praises of our President.
Who is this teacher? Has she been fired yet? if not, why not? What are the parents saying? Why are there no questions in Congress? Where is the New York Times (this happened in New Jersey)?
I have spoken before on the air about the cult of personality that someone somewhere is trying to cultivate in our schools with regards to our President. We had an on air debate about it when the President addressed the nation's school kids and the lesson plans that followed.
The song even uses parts of the spiritual "Jesus Loves the Little Children," replacing Jesus's name with the Presidents: "He said red, yellow, black or white/All are equal in his sight. Barack Hussein Obama."
There are also words that seem to support the President's Fair Pay Bill which was one of the first he signed in January. "He said we must be clear today/Equal work means equal pay."
As the title said - this should blow your flip flops off. WRITE, CALL for God's sake let them know that we know!

Well, I keep saying, I am glad my kids are 22 and 19.. I think even at that age they would have walked out of the room before they UTTERED the words to that pretty little song.
The Obama school song video that she taped shows her book featured on an easel next to the children hailing Dear Leader. She promotes her book as a tool that "allows children to see themselves through the inspirational story of President Obama growing up as an ordinary child asking, Who will change the world? Ultimately, he realizes that he will."
She has spread this creepy cult message to schoolchildren across the country.

Liberals have been saying what is the big deal if Obama wants to speak to the kids at school, well this is what happens when over zealous teachers get ahold of our kids and try to indoctrinate them into thinking Obama or any president for that matter is the messiah!
Someone doing a book tour. Children being exposed to the notion that anyone can grow up to be President. What the hell is this country coming to? What happened to the good old days when you had to be a white male to even consider running the country? And a woman writing a book? When did we decide that was o.k. ? What happened to the Amerika conservatives love? It was such a wonderful place before those damn lefties passed the 13th, 14th and 19th amendment. We don't do that in the United States, but then again its not the same America that it used to be, change has come.

Teacher Smith finds a video she shows to her class. If supports a political message or ideology you agree with. Other parents are outraged. You fight for the video being shown and that Teacher Smith should be permitted to do so. You win your point.
A week later Teacher Jones shows a video to his class. You do not support the message. You are outraged. You want to prevent Teacher Jones from delivering that message to your child.
You can't have it both ways! This situation is going to get more and more heated as all ideologies want equal access to young minds.
Who is in the middle? The very children we are depending upon our educational system to teach the basics they need to survive in this world.
When are we all going to agree the classroom is not the place for any of this? We should be fighting for traditional curriculum. We should be insisting that any and all non-traditional "spur of the moment" activities are banned.
Teachers submit lesson plans in advance for administrative review. If they deviate from those plans they should be fired. Plain and simple. Make the school room off limits.
I just want to throw in this little bit: Please, if you are going to hurl commie, socialist or nazi insults - learn that THEY ARE NOT ALL THE SAME THING. It's so irritating when people don't know the difference.
Oh yeah - and neither of the three had any czars - though one group got rid of the last dynasty - and not for the better.
With regards to this, it's nice to see we have a level of agreement here. I still think there are more things we agree about than disagree about and that however pationately we believe in our own position, we must remember how lucky we are to be able to have this debate at all!

Yes this is like the frog in the boiling water. We see it and we want to jump out. It is in our face and we do not want our kids to be indoctrinated by either side of the political spectrum.

If they were forthright with their agenda a majority of Americans would not want him as our President.

Inna - it's a bit more than one lowly writer, but I do happen to agree that the President is not orchestrating this himself. I am of the opinion however, that there are many in the White House, in Congress, in the Unions, in Acorn, in Tides, in the Apollo Project and in many other areas who want EXACTLY this. They want to build up the President into some kind of god-like figure. The comparrison with Hitler's Germany is a good except that it was Hitler himself who thought it was a good idea.
Not only is one of the verses of the first part a reference to "Jesus Loves The Little Children" - replacing Jesus with Obama, but did you notice that the song in the second part is the tune for "The Battle Hymn of the Republic"? ("Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord...")
That's an awful lot of religious imagery to be using whilst singing the praises of the President.
Also interesting to me is that if you follow the money it all leads back to Soros.
So when are Conservative Catholics going to step up and speak out, just as Conservative Blacks must step up and speak out. It is time to Question with Boldness, Hold to the truth and Speak without Fear.

I really want to read what you say. I really want to find it credible. This quote is just not accurate. It is yet another emotional statement based on what can only be rumor and innuendo. He was never a member of Acorn and did not rise through any ranks.

I read through all the comments. Someone asked who does book tours at elementary schools. My daughter has had at least one author visit a year since first grade. They do book signings. To me it looked like they were rehearsing a play, however now I see it was an exercise with the author. This was not "worship" this was kids singing a song. Not the best idea, I admit. I have to say I was annoyed when my daughter brought book home with Mr. Bush's face on the back because it was part of no child left behind. Did I pretend that he was as bad as Hitler because she received this book? Um, no, that would be ignorant.
The only nice thing about the kooks having all the power is that we can now turn all the crap they have been dishing out for years onto them. Children are very cynical and will eventually see through this and get turned off by it; just as they tune out any boring teacher.

Seems to me I recall Obama worked for Acorn as their attorney. He was a trainer for them and he ran Project Vote in 1992, He gave them 880K of his campaign funds for their voter registration activities during the election. It is not the first time you say the same thing, and I disagree. I do not know what you mean by "commie", as in our former country socialist was a step before communist, which was the final goal of socialist society. We did not get that far, as you know, so let us talk about Nazism and Socialism. And you would be surprised to know that they are pretty close to each other, and, actually there is nothing closer.

By the way, we know substance by its manifestations. And manifestations are so similar. They both are responsible for deaths of their own citizen, they both hated and killed Jews. Nazi killed more, but only because Stalin's great plan to kill Jews failed due to his death, and if he had not died on March 5, 1953, you most probably would not be born, but I digress...
And if we talk about manifestations, I clearly remember when in my ealty childhood we were singing praises to our leaders, just the names were different.
Is praising the Great Leader in one school socialism? Is nationalizing a few banks socialism? Is nationalizing a few industrial enterprises socialism?
No, it is just a step or two in that direction. However, there is no threshold where you in capitalist until certain measure, and then you are socialist.
Every American should fear the direction that the country has taken. While I am sure that my personal feelings that there must be a way to help those that can not help themselves appear to be horribly lefty, I do not believe that the Government should continue to run roughshod over the constitution nor should it continue to overlook the obvious transgressions of the few and ignore the impact on the world at large.
We have laws. They are ignored. Rather than enforce laws on the books, we form committees and hold hearings and introduce new laws. We allow those entrusted with enforcing the laws off the hook time and again. The infamous Miranda decision is a perfect example...we let criminals go free and never prosecute the police that fail to perform.
I am much more concerned over a nation that turns a blind eye to the nationalism of banks, financial institutions, and automotive manufacters than I am over children singing a song. The adults that can make a change today are exercising caution that they themselves should heed.
A nation cried out when O.J. was pronounced innocent. Everyone but the jury watched the infamous chase of the white suv with O.J. on the run. A nation cried out when loans made to members of congress via the friends of Anthony plan were revealed. And yet, we sit back.

I know too well about this propaganda teaching. This is one of the main reasons that I homeschooled all my kids and still do my youngest. But this is no surprise. People just go about sending their kids to school without examining what they are being taught. This is nothing new. The communist party of the early 1900's decided the best way, ( they were all these uppity elitists in the universities with no real life except dreaming of the Russian experiment to be here instead) was to take over the text books. Look who writes your text books. It is no wonder there is a whole generation of socialists being brought up here who have never really had a day with Stalin or Castro to see what it really all is about. The progressives of the early 1900's starting with Teddy Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson believed in a totally different society than what most of us believe in and that our founding fathers tried to avoid. Back in those days, the left was being homeschooled in order to keep their precious collective ideas from being torn apart since most of the country mocked them for what they believed. They figured early on from Marx, Lennon and Hitler that the best way to create your society is through the indoctrination of the children. Why do you think that Russia said the children belonged to the state? The parents are just incubators for the collective state. That is what the goal has been here also. Now you see they do it with pretending to be caring about education. What do you think the real reason is behind the mandatory preschool agenda is? You can read the direct quotes from years and years of educational leaders that the biggest problem they have is that the students come to school with a belief in God and individualism. The sooner they can undo that, the faster they will have comrades to their cause.
I am always surprised when a video like this shocks people. This has been going on for years. This is no surprise. The only difference is that this is not as subtle. At least it is direct and to the point. The truth is that Christians need to teach their children that there is a world view and they need to learn to respond to it with their own faith. 70% of all Christian students who start college at secular universities turn into atheists and agnostics.
Simon it must suck to be wrong. that video was made during black history month, in honor of an accomplished black man. It was not made last June and there were no lockdowns at that school. Fact check it if you don't believe me.
Errrr - did I say there were lock downs? I could care less when it was made. I care that it took place! I would care if they were singing about George Washington! This is NOT who we are and it should NEVER be who we are. We do not have little kids being indoctrinated to sing songs about any President, never mind a sitting President. Not that the timing matters, but I believe the information Alice posted simply said the video was posted to Youtube in June, not that the event occurred at that time. If you follow Alice's link, you can find a letter, purportedly from the superintendent of the school district, stating that the activity was authorized, but the taping and distribution was not.
Either way, even in Black History Month, I don't think it it even close to appropriate for the children to be singing songs of praise to a president. Learning some facts about him, just as any historical figure, okay in my book. Making the kids recite the nonsense on the video is just plain wrong.

Just for a point in the timing. Fox news has always shown that video with the February date on it and announced it was during Black History month. They never tried to imply it was more recent.
The lowly author was a classmate of Obama in Harvard and is a close friend. I guess that reads something like "just a friend from school" or "just a guy in my neighborhood".
There was indeed a lockdown at that school just last week. Try reading some decent news sources Terry before you slam others.

Alice - I think you need to listen more closely to the audio from that Gamaliel Foundation event. While I disagree with the politics and their solution, they're not saying "Hear our cry, Obama" but rather, the traditional "Hear our cry, O God".
Vaguely reminiscent of the school kids singing praises to the Bushes after Katrina for the rapid response.
To the tune of "Hey Look Me Over," children from states devastated by the hurricane sang:

The New Jersey kid's video actually took place back in February, weeks after the inauguration during Black History month and around President's Day. Probably before most of us knew we hated Obama so vehemently. Other classes sang songs too, about other presidents, to celebrate the holiday as is usually the practice in schools around President's Day. The circumstances and the lyrics of the Obama song calling for equal pay, lending a hand, and rebuilding the economy are all dangerous ideas which will undoubtedly scar these children and make them liberals for years to come.
Should the teacher have done the song, probably not. Is it worth FOX and all the talk radio shows getting their panties in a wad, definitely not. It is not news, it is not indoctrination, it is an entertainment network getting all of you all wound up over nothing. It is at worst bad judgment and at best it a lot of fun for the kids.
Mike, What has gone on in the past is not the only concern being registered. I believe that videos surfacing now are bringing to the attention of the American people just how vulnerable their children are.
It's not about Bush, Lincoln, Washington or Obama. ALL videos extolling ANYONE and singing their praises needs to be banned. The danger is that some future video could poison their minds long before anyone discovered it.
Protect our children and eliminate the avenue of access. ALL activities such as this should be prohibited. Close the door period!

Is humming MMM after his name some sort of code for "extolling his virtues"?. Is MMMM a virtue? I think it's time we left the irrational fear and silly hate behind and spent more time like the children singing trying to lend a hand to rebuild our country.
