Long Road photo From Bodie Bailey courtesy of flickr.com I’ve been blogging here on Active Rain for two years now. Being unfamiliar with social networking at the time, I started out slow. I took advantage of the wealth of valuable information Active Rainers offer up in their posts. I read and read all the tips these bloggers were offering up. Then, I read and read the variety of topics that interested me.

I learned along this journey that:

a)     I really like to write about what I do!

b)    I really like a lot of the people I’ve met here on Active Rain!

c)     I really like the business Active Rain has helped generated for me!

d)    Local businesses like the Active Rain/Localism spotlight shined on them, and I really like to support my local businesses.

e)     I don’t like the spotlight so much, but I guess if I’m going to participate in a public forum like Active Rain, I’ll have to take this with the rest!

Early on in my venture in to the social networking world, I decided I needed to hang on to the “personal touch”, so I’m sticking to working with people on obtaining their real estate financing that I can meet in person. Since I believe in establishing a long-term repeat and referral relationship with clients, and to earn this will go above and beyond for them, I believe meeting is a critical element.

Cherry on top photo courtesy of flickr.com From cherryogarci..Active Rain has provided a wonderful setting for me to share my knowledge and expertise. I’ve been contacted by media who have picked up my articles, Realtors seeking information, people all over the place looking for guidance in these challenging financial times, and the cherry on top for me buyers/homeowners looking for home loans.

So, I’ll be meeting another client that I anticipate having a long-standing relationship with, and they’ll be meeting an Active Rain Realtor here in Southern Oregon, too, when they arrive from out-of-state to start their property search for the home they plan to relocate to here in the Rogue Valley.

Thanks again, Active Rain! I appreciate all you do!

See you out there!

Active Rain is great to attract clients....but really it's the ability to interact with other professionals I cherish the most. I rarely go into the office and so it's like a virtual office.

Karen - I only go in to the office to meet clients getting much more done when "working virtually", so it's a nice way to fit in interaction with peers when I can squeeze it in.

Thanks for stopping by!

Paul - Thank you. Yes, Southern Oregon is ver beautiful. Look me up if you head our way.

Charlie - Wow - you were rewarded right out of the gate! Good for you!

Kent - We're feeling the pain a bit here, too, although we've had a nice summer season. Lot's of the distress sales have sold through and inventory has contracted, so things are looking up.
