The Most Incredible Father's Day - from one to three in a day!

Just seven months ago, we were a family of three.  My wife, my eleven year old daughter, and me.  We lived the normal, active lifestyle and although we wanted more children, we had accepted that fact that we may never have more children.

Then we got the phone call.  "Would we be interested in adopting," the voice asked on the other end?  It was a friend of ours who knew that we were open to having more children.

"Sure," my wife replied.  "But, there's something you should know," the friend said, "the mother is having twins!"

"Twins," my wife exclaimed! "I'll have to talk to my husband about this."

That's how it all started.  Today I am celebrating Father's Day with my three girls, Hayden, Ella Kate, & Josie.  We brought our precious baby girls home the past November and I am so thankful that God thought of us as the parents for these darlings.

Today I will celebrate.  I've been given a double chance to "make up" for the time not spent or cherished with my first daughter.  I think being eleven years older (and hopefully wiser) has something to do with the fact that I just can't get enough of these babies!

From one child to three in one day.  Wow.  Future Father's Days will never be the same again - and I'm sure thankful of that.
