I Love Quotations!  To be able to learn from the wisdom of well-known and less-known people is truly a gift - an opportunity to view and understand the world through a snapshot from someone else's mind. These are just a collection of quotes that "hit" me over the last several days.  Most have been shared with me from my Facebook friends.

The first one is an original from one of them, who should focus on stand-up comedy instead of real estate. My favourite is the one from Mary Crowley.

"How people treat you is their karma; how you react is yours." - Dr, Wayne Dyer

"If you cannot do great things, do small things in a great way." - Norman Hill

"The great thing in the world is not so much where we stand, as in what direction we are moving." - Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr.

"Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly and leave the rest to God." - Ronald Reagan

"Every evening I turn my worries over to God.  He's going to be up all night anyway."  - Mary C. Crowley

Thanks for your comments and post any good quotes you have.  I love being able to express an idea with words that are so much better than my own would be.

Quotes seem to work for me, I still remember certain lines from various mentors going back to highschool.  Most times we as humans dont want to learn from the mistakes of others, but, as Gary Keller teaches:  We walk on the shoulders of giants

Translation: Dont reinvent the wheel, learn from those who are successful already in the area or concern to which you aspire.

Rick, you've mentioned some really thoughtful quotes.  Unfortunately I can never remember them like Scott above.  I can never remember a joke either.  Or sometimes I remember it but forget the punchline.  That's even worse.

I used to have a lot of quotations from Stephen Covey, but I lost them in the Great Hard Drive Crash of August 2005. Nonetheless, my wise old grandmother had a similar saying: "You always have time for those things you do first."
