God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle's flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so,

He called it ... Dad

To ALL the father's out there....Happy Father's Day! No matter how you spend it, I hope that it's a great day for you! We are blessed to have YOU in this world!

Luisa, hey there.  I am so glad you posted this.  I am a dad and a grandfather.  I am going to copy this and email it to my grandfather.  I would my father, because I feel this about him, but he doesn't celebrate.  He is a Jehovah's Witness.  You know what, thinking about it, I will send it.  I just wont say Happy Father's Day, but he will know and somewhere deep inside he will know it was sent with the best of intentions.  I have never been able to tell him Happy Father's Day, but this is a great way.  Thank you.  I am getting a tattoo in tribute to my great grandfather who died 10yrs and 1 month ago today.  He was a great man.  Thank you again.  Take care and God bless.  Earl "The Pearl" Sorrells

Nalliah: Your Welcome!

Matthew: Happy Father's Day! Have a great time with your little boy. He is blessed to have a wonderful dad like you! ;)

Thomas: I appreciate Dad's. Have a great day!

Earl: No need to tell him because it's father's day. Just simply because you appreciate him and love him for being your dad. That's enough...and you're a great man for just acknowledging him, although he is a Jehovah's witness. That's a great tribute. I plan on getting a tattoo in honor of my father somtime day too. He is still with me, and I can't imagine not having him in my life someday. So in the mean time, I'll enjoy him as much as I can. Bless your heart and Happy Father's Day to you! ;)

Luisa, Thank you for your kind words.  I think it is a great honor.  And it is a great honor for me to even know him.  I emailed my grandparents, his son, what I was going to do.  They haven't responded yet.  I am getting this done Thursday and am getting excited about 1000's of tiny needle holes in my skin.  lol.  I truly feel my grandfather is with me all the time.  May God bless you and yours.  Earl "The Pearl" Sorrells

My wife want to go and watch me cry like a little........girl.  What did you think I was going to say?  This one is coming off my shoulder and going to be 1/3 sleeve.  I have been told this is the least painful place to have one.  I thought I only wanted 3 in time, however, my wife and I were talking and it may turn into 5 overtime.  THey will all be tasteful, meaningful and concealable.  Tell hubby step up and take it like a man.  (thinking I took 11 years longer to get it done) (I hope I didn't say that out load.  He could be bigger then me and kick my butt).  lol  See ya
